Auctions converted to bin without my consent

I’ve recently come back to eBay and listed a quantity of records to auction. However two of them have been ‘sold’ before auction ended at prices that I wouldn’t be happy with.

How has this happened, I certainly didn’t request BINs?

Did you have a best offer on the two items? With a price that was set up inadvertently for automatic acceptance?

I have also seen where if you do a "sell similar" from someone else's item it may have some of those slide toggle buttons to "on" that may copy over to you listing.

I am sorry I can't see what you sold to see how the pricing and sale went down as you are in the UK.

I have seen other posts about things like this and usually it is a toggle switch issue.

Perhaps someone will come along who has more experience than I......perhaps also post this to the UK board as you are on the US board.

Good Luck.

The one thing I learned with ebay early on, was to check listings and settings. And when you think you've done that and alls ok, check it again.

One thing I learned when I got back into this was if something in the ebay "catalog" comes up in the listing process, don't click it, you don't know what it will turn on.

I'm seeing 3 sold listings, 2 of which sold as auctions and one as BIN. The BIN sold for £25.00.

The auction listings got 3 bids and 1 bid respectively and if those prices at which they sold are too low, you need to raise your starting prices (on auctions) to a price that you're okay with in the even there are a minimal number of bids.

But those items did NOT sell as BIN.

More likely an error on the sellers part than a mysterious ebay glich.

Just my opinion.

@ancillotti

You have several listings which are BINS. It looks like the Boulders and Pebbles LP listings were posted as BINs, while the others were posted as auctions.

I see 3 sales so far:

This was an auction listing. It started at £0.99, got 3 bids, and sold 7 days later for £2.20.

This was an auction listing with optional BIN. It started at £3.00, and sold the same day for the BIN price £10.26.

This one (Boulders Vol. 6) was a fixed price listing and sold for the BIN price £25.00.
