Listed an item for a 7-day auction. Price had reached over $14,000. My husband is traveling in another city and has been keeping track from his phone. Apparently after two days this tripped a fraud alert on eBay’s end. They suspended our account. Called customer service and account was restored MINUS our auction. By the time I reached a human (30 min. later) auction would have ended. Not sure how much money this cost us, but definitely bummed. I have been assured no charges for auction. (Not holding my breath). Just a precautionary tale. I guess it’s not safe to use account from multiple devices in more than one city if you’re selling. Feel bad for the many bidders who are wondering what happened.

Was the fraud alert tied to multiple devices logging in or the high-dollar amount? Or perhaps both?
Sorry for your issue. Do you usually sell HV items?
I travel a lot for my day job. Log in from my phone/laptop to my accts all over the U.S./from airports. Never had an issue.

Using multiple devices should not trip a fraud alert. I use my iPad, mobile phone and computer, from multiple places for over ten years without having any listings removed.
What was the item that was taken down? What did the message from eBay say?

We just got a fraud alert and a listing removed as well.
Our items are in original packaging and, while we can't be sure about their validity without contacting the maker directly, I'm pretty sure they're legit.
Could the eBay bots be having a bad hair day?

What were you selling for $14,000?
I see no completed, sold, or active listings on the account you used to post here in the Community. The account has received no feedback for selling in more than a year, so this account appears to have not been used for selling for quite awhile.
Did you list the $14,000+ item using another account?

The possibilty of selling an item for 14K and getting scammed is so high you should count this as a blessing.

As an aside - I would make sure they're legit.

More info needed.
Like the notice from ebay on the take down...

What was the item worth ?

It was our boat. We have never sold anything worth that much. Never got anything from eBay via text or email. We were both logged out and when he tried to log in it said our account was suspended. When I tried it didn’t recognize my email address, so I thought our account was hacked. Maybe it was. Customer service didn’t say. But when they fixed it, they had put my husband’s work email as the username. He had bee trying to log-in from his work computer in another city.

Maybe. I’m just disappointed we lost all the text and pictures and the last hour is the most bidding. We had 13 bids!

Only have one account. Haven’t sold in years. Auction is completely gone.

Yeah. If that was what happened, I guess it’s a good thing.

Got nothing from eBay, so maybe it was a scam.
