Hi All
I have an auction going which already has a bid, I do not do International but I have an interested buyer from Germany that would like to bid, it would be okay with me but I cannot revise it to allow him to bid since there's a bid already, anyway to work around this?

If you don't offer international shipping on the auction I am not sure they can bid which would obviously be a problem. If they are able to bid I believe you would be able to invoice them for the shipping once the auction is over.

no the tried bidding and it does not let them

Have you tried revising the listing to add international sales or add GSP?
Im not sure if either of those are available to revise once there is a bid.

Suggest for future auctions. Decide if you want international before you start the auction. Why so no then allow it ?

So that means there is nothing you can do about it... 😕

@darlazee You can try this:
https://www.ebay.com/bmgt/ExemptBuyers
It might work, but don't know what you will do about shipping, since I don't know if you can revise that portion of your listing. You certainly don't want to end up with shipping paid only for a US sale (flat rate) or free. You can try to add shipping to that listing, or see if you can apply the GSP. They are very strict about what you can revise on a listing that has bids.

From what I understand if you block a region the members from the countries you block are not able to even view your auctions. I rarely if ever get questions from outside the U.S. because I have blocked the world since 2016.

You might suggest the buyer find a trans-shipper in the US and work thru them to buy the object.
