I received an email after contacting eBay for increasing my selling limit.
In the replied email, my ID was need to be provided as well as a one minute video (I do not have a webcam). Is this usual for them to ask? Should I just give them a phone call? I feel unsafe regarding this issue.

Just curious - did they say 1 minute video of 'what'?

Have heard of ID verification, but not a video ......but you are in Hong Kong and there may be different rules......... if it came only thru your personal email progam, not ebay messages, I'd be somewhat suspicious....... If you can access an ebay site which handles ebay in your area, I'd ask the question there and see if it is site specific and how to handle it.

They need to look at the middle fingerprint.

Various scenarios come to mind ...

They didn't even mention what content at all, just no sunglasses, no hats, no masks, etc. This sounds really fishy imo.

And maybe no clothes. 🙂
