That isn't a good idea.  You are responsible for shipping exactly what you advertised in the listing.  If you deviate from that you have handed your buyer a reason to file a claim for Item not as described.

You can have them cancel their bid on your auction.  Then you create a new listing that is for what they want, let them know you created it and give them the listing number.  Then they can bid on the one they actually want.

Hi and welcome, @shwhi-5154 . Just to clarify—So the auction ended and this buyer won. But they now want only part of this order plus a few from another listing?

As @mam98031  advised, if you wanted to accommodate such a request, the buyer would need to ask you to cancel the current order, using “changed mind” or another one of the buyer remorse reasons.

Then you would need to end the listing(s) for the other items, as long as there are no bids. If there are, you’d have to cancel the bids, then end the listing. (eBay might bill you for a Final Value fee for ending an auction early.)

After all this has been accomplished, the final task would be to make a new fixed-price listing of the items the buyer wants, and send them the link or item # so the buyer in question could remit payment.

Altho not likely, keep in mind there is still a possibility that the buyer would then not follow-thru and buy the new grouping of items. No guarantees exist. It’s also possible that someone else could buy the items first before the other buyer had the chance.

As a seller myself, i would not want to end a current auction with bids. Instead, i would invite the buyer to join in on bidding for the other items. It wouldn't be fair to the buyers who made bids in good faith, only to have the seller turn around and cancel them.
