Lately I have received some rude messages from customers. One person bought a used $5 top from me and apparently I overlooked the inside of the top had been hemmed. She proceeded to call me a liar. Accused me of false advertising. I offer money back guarantee on my clothes. Told her to return it for a refund, she refused! Then told me to be more careful next time. Then gave feedback that I was a liar and rude! How do you handle people that don't even give you a chance to make it right?

Block them and move on.

I would call e bay tell them to remove the abusive content feedback. Tell them your offer the money back guarantee how is that rude. And you are not a liar. The buyer abused feedback policy in my opinion. Maybe e bay will remove. If not leave a reply to feedback revived. Give them a good reply they deserve. Call them a drunk or something I would. If e bay would not remove. Tell e bay their comments are abusive. And not based on fact. I hope you the best and do not run into buyer like this again. Or comment like sorry tried to please you every way I could Your Wrong. If you decide not to be nasty like them.

The rude messages should be ignored. Don't respond and don't let them control your emotions. Block and move on. The negative feedback I understand you being upset about. Call CS and see if there is anyway to get it removed. If not, again block and move on. It is not worth the aggravation. It will drop off in a year. In the mean time it will get buried further down in the feedback results as new feedback comes in.
Do what you do best - run your business!

While you are allowed to leave a Response to feedback, it basically just draws attention to it and it is best to let it be.
But do ask Customer Support if it can be removed as abusive.
Best wishes.

The best way is to leave a very polite and professional response to the negative feedback ,, like '' I'm sorry you're unhappy with the item , please return for refund . Then if any future buyers happen along to read your feedback they will see who the polite calm person really is . In other words it will make her comments and accusations against you null and void . Are there rules about being rude in real life?
Some people are rude on ebay and in real life.
Apparently she would rather call you names and accuse you of being a liar than return the item for a refund.
Her calling you a "liar" is just her opinion. You either lied or made a mistake. How does she know which one is true? How does ebay? Sorry, i don't mean to sound like such a A but i'm just telling it to you like it is.
I really do wish you the best of luck. I hope you can get that feedback removed.

You tell her that you're rubber and she's glue... 🙂

If the buyer reports the feedback you left ebay will remove it because it's against policy. Sellers are not allowed to leave neg comments for buyers.
If you get rude messages from members, just ignore and block, it's usually a waste of time reporting them..

BAD ADVICE (Call them a drunk or something I would. )
I will easily overlook a ranting negative feedback from a buyer if it is the only neg. I WILL NOT buy from a seller that rants back. Any less than positive feedback should be replied to calmly and professionally.
I would reply. Sorry I did not see the alteration when I listed, I did offer to refund upon return though.

Seller apparently made a mistake. Personally, I would have just refunded the buyer and let them keep the item, rather than pay to ship a worthless item back. And I would be embarrassed enough over the error; I wouldn't need to humiliate myself further by posting a retaliatory lie in feedback.

Although you could call eBay customer service and ask for a review of the feedback the buyer left you (unlikely to be removable) are you sure you want to do this?
The reason I ask is that you run the risk of the customer service representative looking at the feedback you left for the buyer.
While the buyer's feedback for you does not affect your standing as a seller, leaving negative comments on a buyer's feedback profile puts a seller at risk for the feedback to be removed and noted on the seller record which can affect the seller's status.
Considering that, it might be better to leave bad enough alone. Don't do that again, okay? eBay is very clear about this policy - sellers are not allowed to leave positive feedback for buyers with bad comments.
For future, always remember to turn your garments inside out and examine the inside with the same attention you devote to the outside.
