Are there any barcode printing systems integrated with eBay?

I'd like to print barcodes approximately 1" x 0.5" to place on certain merchandise. Any printer recommendations and are there any systems integrated with eBay? Thank you.

For a low volume, low cost solution look into the Dymo LabelWriter series thermal transfer printers. The included software allows you to print barcodes to various type standards. Not sure what you want to do with integration but you could purchase a low cost USB bar code scanner and do some basic stuff on ebay or actually anywhere you want to scan a bar code and enter it as a text number.

For example you could do a search on Ebay or Goggle by scanning a bar code and not have to manually enter a UPC number.

For a more rugged printer look into the Zebra series. Learn the difference between thermal and ink transfer printers.

Are you thinking of adding bar codes to items which have previously been manufactured by somebody else, because that sounds illegal -- you have no right to add bar codes to items manufactured by another, unless that individual or company has contracted legal ownership to you.

On the other hand -- if you are suggesting adding bar codes to items which you yourself have manufactured, and to which you own the rights, you should first register your product with www.gs1us.org, so that your bar code will be universally recognized as belonging to a product owned by you.

If you simply slap ANY unregistered bar code on a product, it will not be recognized by a scanning device, and defeats the purpose of using a bar code in the first place.  And there are plenty of companies ready and willing to sell you worthless, unregistered bar codes -- so beware!

Each individual bar (and number) on a bar code reflects certain manufacturing and location information, and each UPC and ISBN is individually registered for recognition around the world.

Hope that helps out!
