A buyer recently wanted to see photos of a lot of my new products that will be on eBay in the coming weeks. It will take me one to two weeks to take photos of everything they are interested in, and then hundreds of eBay messages to send all the photos.
I know how to add a video to my listings. Being able to send a closeup video of the products to my buyer would save me hundreds of hours.
Are videos in messages allowed, and if so what is the method to add videos to messages on eBay?

HI!
Maybe you could make a listing just for them & price it high. They could see all you had there then.

If the video can be kept to a minute or so in length, you MIGHT be able to post it as your store video, and just direct the buyer to your store video. However, I'm not sure if ebay's Video Review Bot will approve it or not

Videos in a message are usually limited because of the amount of data they use. How much eBay messages can handle I do not know. Adding a Video to a listing eBay has to approve. They will want to verify there is no contact information within the video.
This is eBays policy and it reads the video has to be about your listing. I take this to mean a video of products for sale that are not on eBay is not allowed.

If you have sold to them in the past then you might have their phone number already, check order details.

This is your problem.
"I have lots of other crystals and minerals available."
You're hung by your tongue by saying that. This Is an invitation for them to say let's see them!
You should say please visit often because I list new items every week.
They can look at the pictures in the listing.

You are completely right. Showing stuff like this in advance to looky loos has never been a good use of my time. They almost never buy, or make very low offers. Time is better spent just listing the stuff.

Oh, heck, yes.
If asked, I will certainly promise to list requested items if I have them, but I'm not rearranging my schedule for that; just adding to it. My reply will be in terms of, "I'm hoping to have a listing for [product here] beginning on [some day in the very near future]. Thanks for your interest!"
That said, being in a niche market, I may get more than one request for a similar item, and if more than one person is asking about it, that will get priority. Know your market, and all that... 😉

Also, sending photos or videos of things not listed, eBay could take that as trying to sell outside the platform. eBay messages are not private.
