Shipping Label reserved

Can anyone please explain to me why e-bay is charging me for shipping labels that I printed weeks ago. Why are the fees not taken out of the sale the day of the sale? I have lots of reserved shipping labels being deducted from me fees today for transactions that happened weeks ago.  It just makes no sense. I do have my account set up for the fees to be taken out of my sales immediately. Good thing I leave funds in my e-bay account, or they would be coming out of my bank account.

I would ask e-bay, but they never have anyway of contacting them especially for these types of questions.

I did ask an agent one time about this, and he was also confused.

Several services are not charged until the label is scanned/used by the carrier. I believe this includes Ebay's Standard Envelpes and eBay's International Standard services for USPS. If you do not have funds being processed at the time of the charge, I take my payouts daily, they ultimately charge your funding source. My funding source is a credit card I pay off every month. But eBay presumably gets charged a fee for using the card. Hoisted by their own petard. I otherwise pay for my labels using Pay Pal which deducts from my checking account. Doesn't cost me anything but, again, I assume eBay has to pay Pay Pal a fee. Can't wait for the rah rahs to shout "poor eBay, this is why they have to raise our fees..." which is **bleep**. Ebay loves to suck up to buyers and punish sellers whenever they can. What goes around comes around.

If the item was shipped UPS or FedEx, the actual shipping does not get charged till the item is delivered or at the end of the billing cycle. The shipping cost you see at the time the label was made are a placeholder, not the actual charges and can be different then the final charges.
