I have had 100% feedback selling for the last 8 years . The other day a person left me a negative feedback saying the item fit too tightly for his liking . He just received it and instantly left a negative feedback without even contacting me like feedbacks mean product reviews or something to him. After seeing his negative feedback i reached out to him to help come to a solution saying i will gladly give you a refund or send out a new one but he never responded . There is nothing wrong with the product btw and have all positive reviews on it . I hate for my first negative feedback in 8 years be something i have no control over, done nothing wrong and only because someone doesnt know how to properly use ebay . Anything i can do ?

Look into ebay's rules and see which one(s) they may have violated. Perhaps you could make a case that it's a product review, for example. Then call customer support and make your case. Be ready to cite the rule.
I think you can also ask the buyer for a revision. Send a nice note, explain the situation, and ask if they'll cooperate.
Good luck!

This feedback doesn't qualify for a removal. Your reply is factual which is good.
Hopefully the buyer is willing to revise.
Good luck.

Actually you have made a few mistakes. Your probably never going to get a negative that is warrented. You care so that won't happen. You may now have encouraged a person to leave negatives for stuff becouse they will get free stuff. You probably have not added this person to your blocked buyer list yet. Do so at once. You advertised that if someone leaves you a negative you will send free stuff on your feedback now. You asked for a revision and were willing to send a replacement at no charge. When they did not not respond the deal was dead. My only negative showing is from a buyer who bought the same item from two different sellers. The seller left me a negative describing what was wrong with the item. A few days later I get a message from the other seller who felt bad. He copied a message to me from the buyer that said the item was bad but he left positive feedback before he found out. His description of what was bad was exactly what he put in the negative feedback he left me. I guess he thought he missed leaving ebay a negative on the first so they made up for it leaving me a negative for a perfectly good item. You have to use ebay's system for everything now. If you would have encouraged the buyer to open a item was defective case after getting the neg. You may have showed the buyer the proper way to do things in the future. If he would have then you could have sent a replacement free and had the negative removed. Feedback revision is very very rare and not the way to go most cases.

Here is what you do:
Go outside, Yell and scream until you can't scream any longer. Come back inside open up Ebay reply to the feedback in a way it helps you then block that buyer and move on.
We as sellers can't control what buyers do. There is no safe guards to prevent any buyer from doing a negative. Except for the 60th day after getting said item.
Some sort of box appears prior to a buyer leaving negative feedback so I was told but it seems to be overlooked.
We use to get all bent out of shape about bad feedback but it's useless to fret over it.
And after the negative if that buyer responds or wants help give you computer to maybe your grandkids or neighbors kid and say Look it's Santa.

I did send a message asking him to let me correct the situation and then remove the negative feedback. I am also nice to customers no matter the situation which is why i havent got a negative feedback in 8 years. He has not responded to a message though
You have a very limited number of FB updates you can send out. So never send one to a buyer until you have an agreement with the buyer that they are willing to update / change the FB. These requests also have a shelf life of only a few days. If the buyer doesn't respond and change the FB during that time, the request times out. You can not send another one. After that if the buyer is still willing to revise the FB, they will have to call Ebay to do it and that is a real hassel for them.

Looks like your buyer revised the feedback satisfactorily on August 5. Congratulations!
