Message about items that didn't sell and I should reduce the by $5. or more. Can't do it. I sell antiques and collectibles and know what price I paid for them and what they sell for. We already have to almost give the item away in order to make a sale. Been on ebay 25 years and it just gets worse each year. The total fees totaled together is 25% or more. They don't advertise and now constant push to pay more in promoted items. This has become plain and simple corporate greed. If you can pay your ceo $ 178000000 . bonus I'd say you're doing ok ebay. Stop squeezing us sellers. We are all bone dry.Pat

In my opinion, eBay prioritizes its own revenue over seller needs.

I’ve never received a message like that.
If I did get a message like that it would end up where all unwanted messages go…..in the deleted folder.

Ebay is in the business of making money. I ignore their ads as I do most other ads.

Most people take these as "suggestions" and ignore them. The messages are generated by a bot/algorithm which where eBay is concerned is not that 'smart'. I suppose there are some sellers out there that follow whatever eBay says to do thinking that it will help sales, and eBay has your best interests in mind. Others know better.

It is only a suggestion not a command.
I saw an eBay ad today on a NASCAR race (No it wasn't for eBay motors - had to do with collectibles and clothing).

What is a request today, perhaps someday can become more of a demand

Better a lower FVF than no FVF. What we have to keep in mind is that that there are TONS of sellers who do have their items ridiculously overpriced. -I don't mean the freakshow ones like $10k for a paperclip or whatever, just items priced unrealistically high because the seller isn't great at researching comps or whatever. And eBay just keeps relisting those things, hosting them for free, so if the sellers never drop the prices, eBay will never cash in on platforming them.
This is why they have always given all kinds of nudges to sell cheaper. Now they're even trying to use AI to do comp research for us, and it's hilarious, but there's no reason to take it personally, just laugh it off.

You have the option to ignore these suggestions.
