Anyone finding success with the new make offer feature? I've used it twice for about a dozen items each time without any sales. Just wondering.

I send out as many as I'm given by eBay (still seems to be about 10 a day), and they account for about 30% of our items sold, and about 10% of sale price totals.
(Edit: I think I over-estimated the returns, so I've edited the numbers to match the logs. A lot of people don't respond at all, but in a way that's nice because the offers I send are the lowest I'll take.)
I always customize the message, and point out that combined shipping discounts are available &c.
Also I've found that buyer-initiated offers are ridiculously lowballed lately. To the point that I've blocked a bunch of them just because they're sending ten or twenty offers for 5% of the asking price.

I agree wholeheartedly with the statement "buyer initiated offers are ridiculously low balled lately", It is beyond laughable what kind of unsolicited offers and smug "I'LL GIVE YOU THIS MUCH" for your item garbage has been thrown my way in the last year. It is out of control and Ebay needs to look into some kind of bot to detect this and stop this stuff.

I personally like the new feature and have had a decent amount of success using it. My guess is I have sent out maybe 200 offers to watchers and had maybe 10 -15 sales so far from using it. My reduction in price all depends on what my buy price on the item was originally and how much I have left on the bone for a GOOD profit, I do not reduce most of my items by more than 5 or 10 bucks, unless it is a item over 200, then I may reduce the price by 20-25. i also use the "SEND OFFERS" sparingly and at certain times of the week or month when I know people are more apt to make a purchase. This also really tells you who the pretenders are watching my items.
