Hello Sellers -
Happy Thursday. Anyone experiencing drop in sales last few days? October started slow for us and then picked up at the end of the first week - during the Columbus day weekend but then it dropped off but we sold here and there but last couple of days close to no activity. The whole day go without any activity.
We used to have holiday and winter shopping starting in October but no sign of that. We did sell a few lighter items but now very slow. We sold two small items yesterday and one today. So there are sales but next to nothing.
Anyone know about any issues with e-bay selling process? Anyone signed up for e-bay payments and if so, how is that going for sellers who signed up? Would love to hear about that.
Thanks for your reply. Hope sales pick up soon for all of us. Good luck everyone. Cheers.

Ditto here, month started out strong but last 3 days almost nothing, about the only sales have been from auctions started last week. I too am still selling some summer stuff with reduced prices but not much fall/winter yet. I don't really do Halloween except what vintage that might be used that way, so maybe buyers are concentrating on that?
Tues & Wed are typically slower for me, so sure hoping sales will improve over the weekend. Good luck!

same exact roller coaster sales as if the switch gets turn on-off a week or two later on-off. mid Oct sales usually begin to increase. This october is already behind on sales from previous years . dont keep all your eggs in one nest.

Do bees buzz? I had a strong seller appearing on first page of search results and then POOF, gone.
I hear ebay "throttles" but I cannot say with certainty. Look it up: "ebay throttles listings."

We are all experiencing the same thing! I think the only views I have are mine! 😞

Yes, since March, 2014. Steadily down. From 240 amonth with 250 listings to 90-100 sales a month with 900 listings. Heck of a drop, huh? When 5 items go out on Monday (usually have 12, used to be 30) and they all go to Illinois, that tells me something I already knew.
BLACKOUT!!!

My sales have been consistently dropping since 2014 and I think there are a number of factors in play. I sell antique and vintage goods and also sell at Antiques shows in 8 states. I think first and foremost collecting is becoming increasing less popular either people want everything that can go in a dishwasher, disposable, or they have too much already in their homes. This may sound a little crazy but I think people spend money when they are happy. When we are constantly bombarded with negativity from the media and face constant catastrophic natural disasters it changes your attitude and desire to shop. We have become a culture of Dollar Store Walmart mentality and Ebay compounds this problem with "drop the price to make a sale" alerts. Prices keep falling, customers know this, and they expect cheaper merchandise. Ebay constantly change things that work pissing off sellers and they have moved towards favoring buyers over sellers. Survival online now means working twice as hard as you ever did and being more careful and thorough with your listings.

For the last 2 or 3 months it seems ebay is letting me sale a little over enough to make sure they get paid . I am giving my stuff away. Not the buyer's fault, of course they are looking for deals but it does no good to lower your price or give discounts. It really agitate's me to have watchers watch month after month and never buy. Does anyone think its the same watcher and waiting for you to lower the price? I price my items as low as I can because shipping fee are going up and if you weigh by weight the buyer would see how much it cost. Any answers here??

I went 5 days with out a single sale. They are down 300% over last months sales. We are still up for the year as I have tried listing more items to increase sales back to what they were a few years ago. Part of it is seasonal, but not this bad. I am starting to worry as I have made some purchases for the upcoming season and spent money for future products. I now wonder if I have purchased too much and how bad it will impact my Christmas. It was all looking so good 30 days ago. What Happened?

Update - No change still except, yesterday all day same thing. We had two auctions end so we had two sales.
Then all of a sudden, yesterday between 4.30 - 6.30 pm, we had four offers and one sale back to back. How do you explain that. No activity silence since then. After 6.30 nothing all evening and again nothing so far this morning.
It makes me think that our listings are out of view except for that two hours yesterday. How could we have back to back sales/offers for two hours even dollar wise not much and then go into no activity again.
Thought I would let you guys know what is going on since the start of my thread.
Thanks for all the responses and good luck to all. Cheers.
