I just got another promo and I have lots of stuff sitting around my house. It's just hard to get motivated, when sales are so slow. Is anyone else feeling the same way?

Yep

Yeah Like what's the point? I have Christmas items waiting to go on and figure why hurry.

I have Halloween costumes and still can't get motivated.

I was motivated last month. Listed quite a bit. Sales finally went into the green.
Then on September 3rd, I received my first invite to managed payments, which I did not act upon. Between September 3rd and the next invite on the 10th, sales dropped 74%. Yesterday, I signed up for Managed Payments. I also sold all my eBay dedicated backstock to my vendors over the past week. So now unless I make more stock for eBay, I have nothing to motivate me to list.

not to much motivation for me -- had promos on both ID not many views but more than all summer --- a few sales on one id and not much on the other - It was a mix of BIN and auctions - good news is I had auctions with make offers and sold one for only 10% off and the other was an offer 10.00 higher than my listing! I have one more busy weekend and then I will have to buckle down and see if anything will sell.

I remind myself that if it's not listed then it can't sell- and listing more tends to boost search placement in my experience. Then I get my butt in gear.

Actually, yes.
I enjoyed my ten days of no internet so much I'm having a hard time now doing anything online.
Honestly it was absolutely great to be internet free. If it weren't for the fact that I have a lot of stuff to sell, and having instant access to NOAA and other weather reports, I'd probably ditch the internet. When you go without it for a while, you realize how much of a time suck it tends to become.

Yes ,, it's easier to get motivated when sales are good but who wants to work for peanuts except maybe Dumbo ? Tulips

Call me Dumbo.

Looking at your listings, which all appear to be auctions, most of these items might do better as fixed price GTC items at a higher price and leave them listed until they sell.
You don't have enough items listed to generate a lot of sales for items that sell infrequently.

I definitely need to get motivated. I have a lot of magazines to list but I've been taking a big long break and sort of waiting to hear just when Turbo Lister will no longer be available. I hoped we would get some news in the Fall Seller Update but TL wasn't even mentioned. So guess I might as well start working on some stuff and hope they've decided to let TL ride until after the holidays.

VERY little motivation to post on here. I did add 3 today. I'm on a 17-day selling streak but, most of those are small sales - including only having 1 sale per day over the last 4. It shouldn't be this difficult just to earn $75 a day on average. Fed up with the disappointment. Stinks when I must rely on 1 day a week at the flea market. That place isn't busy either. Good luck to us all. 🙂

I worked very hard listing during a promotion late last month. I purged a lot of stuff than had been in my store; if it didn't sell at auction I moved it out. I'm trying to keep listing auctions. I'm a slow lister, though, so it's hard to really rack up the big numbers. I've never once managed to use up the 1000 "free" listings with my store.
One thing that has been holding me back is that I moved my office to the 2nd floor and the room is VERY hot. I simply feel my brain leaking out of my ears. I don't get enough done.

I don't need motivation, I just need more time in the day. I looked up the sold listings for some things I have to list and it looks like they should sell fairly quickly, I just need to find the time to sit down and take the photos and write the listings.
I shouldn't curse my actual job because it's what pays my bills, but I do hate how it eats all my time sometimes, haha.
