Anyone else have Ebay remove LOTS of listings, with NO explanation as to why ?

Following up from a different forum, A different member mentioned in a very old post, having the same sort of issue, and we replied with the following message, but since our incident occurred much more recently, we decided to start a different thread as well to bring this up and see if anyone else has had the same issue, and if so, has anyone figured out WHY it's occurring and what, if any recourse, there is ?

I had this same issue earlier in the year, and they removed a LOT of our listings, and all of these listings that they removed, were COMPLETELY gone, there were NONE in the unsold items section, so the only way to relist any of them was to do it from scratch, and there was ZERO explanation as to what the particular issue was with ANY of them !,  This is the message they sent us.

Well, it's apparently something to do with the transition to Managed Payments.  Did the payment section in those listings carry over an email address that was linked to your PayPal account but not to your eBay and managed payments account?

I have to ask....what is that stuff?  I mean was it in a particular category or in different ones?  To me it looks like replacement/repair parts, though you do have at quick glance a tee shirt and a pair of sneakers in there.

  Even the "board bots" don't like some of them as evidenced by them "bleeping" some of your title descriptors.  

You got any ideas what these things have in common?

I can't speak to whether this is because of managed payments or not.

But I did notice that at least some of those listings were duplicates, because you still have active listings for those items with the exact same titles. Duplicate fixed-price listings are not allowed, and eBay may remove listings if they are found to be identical. So I suspect that may be what happened here. It's a possibility anyway.

FYI, I don't think the bleeped words are a factor here. In one case, the letters were an abbreviation for "backset", and in another case, it was the brand name for the item, which is also a derogatory word. The words were displayed in full in the listing titles, just not here in the forum.
