I applaud ebay for trying to be proactive but how exactly are we supposed to prepare for an update when we have ZERO ideas of what will be released?
This is a serious question. Besides making sure you have time set aside, what have you been able to do to prepare? I want to know if I'm missing something. I've only been a seller for about a year.
Unless I'm missing some fundimental means of preparation, I feel like eBays update release notice, which spent more time patting itself on the back than informing us, may have done nothing but create anxiety in the seller community.
Thoughts?

Anyone else feel like an update heads up with no details isnt really helpful?
You don't find it helpful to know when the update will be announced?

How does one "prepare" for an update?

For years, we've asked for the date of release so we don't spend time each day looking for it.
The announcement of when the announcement would come wasn't meant for anything except giving the date......

Thanks! That was actually very helpful. I didnt realize that there was inconsistent applications of updates. Thanks for the history lesson.

I found the announcement to be incredibly helpful. My schedule was packed today and tomorrow, but knowing the date of the update in advance I was able to move some things around. I made time to read the updates and post on the update board while eBay reps are responding - which is something I would have otherwise missed.
