My Ebay pages are loading very slow. No matter what it is. It took 2 minutes just to bring up the community page. It took another 2 to 3 minutes to load a New Message page. When opening up my message box it also take two minutes to load. When I'm trying to list the pages also lag. I'm getting error message right now for this page saying "Sorry, unable to complete the action you requested." I don't even know if this message will post. It's not my ISP. I re-booted my modem and it didn't help. I also downloaded an Xbox One game yesterday and it downloaded at near maximum speed. Immediately after that download completed I went on Ebay, and, you guessed it, pages were still lagging with slow loads. So it's not my wireless network. What up with this?

Have you shut down your computer and then restart it. Sometimes it is as simple as that.
If that doesn't work, try a different browser. I use Chrome and I'm not having any issues that you describe.
Good Luck.

It's been pretty good today (the 24th), but I've had similar trouble too, especially the two days prior to that. eBay pages were slow to load or I got errors stating I had no connection to the internet even though I did. I'm also on a wireless connection.
For me this usually starts to happen after I've opened a lot of windows and programs, especially graphics programs. Closing them out and clearing my cache doesn't help, nor does reconnecting to the network or rebooting my modem; I usually have to restart the computer as someone else has mentioned, I guess to free up memory. I have an older HP computer with Windows 8.1.
I didn't download any programs but other websites, such as Xfinity channel guide, etc., usually open and update after refreshing without an issue. eBay pages are what I have the most trouble loading when the problem starts.

Yesterday eBay was working at a snail's pace for me, even after shutting down and trying again. I figured it was mostly our internet, although some other sites worked just fine. EBay and Nextdoor were just crawling.

just another thought sluggish internet response could be your internet provider doing some "tweaking" - we have Spectrum - can't say we've had any slow internet response time issues - Sunday we had an outage for about 3 hours - TV, Internet & Landline all dead - they claimed broken fiber optic line somewhere in our grid..

Also very slow for us. Tried restarting, deleting cookies and all the usual. It started with just the messages but now is affecting everything. Our computers are fine on everything else except ebay. We get a message that pops up and says the system is down and then it starts doing what you want but really really slow. Write to Ebay on their Facebook. We have actually got an answer, of course it is the usual..Promote your listing, slow time of year, drop your prices...and the good old "Use Good til cancelled" and you"ll get better results..NOT. Picked up a few sales yesterday but actually gave them away. Good luck

**general reply**
AT&T has had issues the past couple of weeks, network outages of some sort across the country. I can't upload photos. I can barely log in to any site I'm not already logged in to like Paypal, my email or my bank account. My download speed is where is should be at 2.5 Mbps, but my upload speed is zero to 0.01, so basically impossible to send any info out. It takes several times just for me to post here. They are "working on it and it will be fixed soon." Yipee
If any of y 'all are using AT&T this could be part of the problem.

I had responded before about mine being slow too. Mine got incredibly slow again yesterday and I went through all the hassle of rebooting the modem and router, restarting the computer, etc. Things were still slow, especially eBay. Then I remembered a couple of years ago when I contacted my ISP and the tech told me to unplug the computer cable going into the modem for ten seconds, then reconnect and reboot. I was skeptical since I had unplugged the power cord from the modem, but unplugging the cable really made a difference and helped speed things up. So I did that yesterday and things got fairly speedy after that, even eBay.

No problems here, either on my desktop (Windows 8.1 with the latest version of Firefox) or my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 with the latest version of mobile Chrome).

Also, that doesn't mean it's not your ISP. I used to get hideous, hideous lag in Final Fantasy XIV... it turned out that it was due to the path my ISP used to route my connection to the FFXIV servers. When I called them and had them reroute the connection, it fixed the lag issue and I haven't had a single problem since.
