Anyone else experiencing a huge drop off in sales and views?

Anyone else having this problem? My sales completely died at the end of the weekend and haven’t picked up at all. My views are much lower and I’m getting no response on my offers which is unusual anyone know what’s up?

Not one sale in 9 days. First time ever. Slow sales have been in decline for years and it only gets worst as time goes on. Every year I make less and less and less on this platform. Thank god for other platforms and my web site or I would go broke. Ebay is becoming the the new Myspace. You have got to spread your wings.

This is a popular topic on this board. In a recent interview the CEO of ebay  stated this his team is focusing on High Value items and High Value Buyers.  Which means that a large majority of us are Low Value sellers.  This kind of thinking could be a reason why many of us are experiencing very or no sales.  One day maybe ebay will hire a CEO who knows something about technology and the online marketplace. 

Of course there are the usual reasons stated here.  The war in Ukraine, The Pandemic, Inflation etc.

My guess is 90% of clothes sellers who come here say the same thing at least once a week. The problem is you have a whole bunch of competition and clothes are a dime a dozen.

No.  The opposite.  I'm exhausted and people keep wanting things shipped.

Couple things.

Mannequins are not too expensive and your clothing will look so much better.   A hanging torso would help a ton for about $ 20.

You sell in the worst category on eBay.   You are new, untested, unknown and that's not helping you one bit.   Only time will fix that, but other things can be worked on now.

I'm wondering if I will each 100 this week!  Not 100 sales & definitely not thinking 100 US.  100 Cdn!  Long stretch without anything after 5 sales in 1 day.  5 days without.  Just waiting for Sunday so I can go make some real money to last me a few more days on this spinning globe.

Good luck. Flea markets are the best. People flock from miles around and it is hard to even keep things on the tables buyers are so fast to spend there.

Every single seller on this platform has experienced this from time to time.  It doesn't mean that something bad is happening or that Ebay is doing something to harm you.  What it means is that it is the ebbs and flow of a normal internet business.

Do a search on these threads.  You will likely find 1000's of these kinds of questions in the threads over the years.  

You are new and I get that.  In time, with more experience you will better understand.  You just need to ride it out.  Do all you can to make sure your listings are written in such a way as to attract buyers and you will be fine.

A few things you may consider...

High gas prices and getting higher

High Food prices

Unemployment

High rent and mortgages

High utility bills

These are Essentials.  Other things not so much.  People need to pay their bills and keep a roof over their heads more than shopping for things on line they may not need right now.  Welcome to the world we live in.  Maybe drop your prices and make sure you take returns, Zach. 

Ebay offers a money back guarantee.  No returns does not mean no refunds.  And buyers don't need a reason.  Hopefully things will pick up for all of us.  In the mean time, hang in there and be positive.  Good luck.

Yes ours has dropped also but we were expecting it to and it may be awhile before things get back to normal. It cost a lot just to live right now with the massive inflation. We are thinking about moving more toward listing needed everyday items.

Yes, especially since the end of January - almost non-existent. And a few past days are even worse - on all platforms. Food and gas prices are like in Australia or Switzerland - expensive.

My sales are ok. But views and impressions got down hill and everyday is worse after February update.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you. When your selling on other platforms and not on this platform there is something wrong here. I keep ending listings on ebay because I sell out on the other smaller platforms.
