Anyone else experiencing a dry period right now?

It's been almost 2 weeks now since I've made even a single sale on the site, despite actively trying as much as I can to get more of my products sold and shipping. Is anyone else having trouble making sales at this time?

I get domestic sales for like 4 days and then only International sales for like 3 days in a week. It makes no sense to me. It feels like the traffic of my items are limited to lookers to domestic 4 days and then only lookers  International for 3 days...I had nothing but UK buyers the last 3 days. And then I have "repeat buyers" which falls out of this norm.

I noticed something like that a few years ago.

I'd get a few orders from the NE area, then nothing for a few days, then a few orders from the SW area, then nothing for a few days, then a few orders from another area and so on.

Have a great day.

We have been on fire with sales the past month. Mainly we sell items appropriate for holidays. Valentine’s Day has been outstanding. Let’s hope this keeps up during non holiday times.

Also, pictures are very important, Google doesn't like to display photos of items that are dark or hard to see on carpets or mattresses, I noticed some increase when I cleaned some of my pictures, and still working on it.

So your sales are good and yet other sellers are experiencing slow/no sales.

Very interesting.

How come ebay isn't turning OFF your switch?

Maybe it has something to do with what you are selling?    😉

You are absolutely right.  They like, clear, crisp pics on a white background.

If it's not raining sales anymore, consider listing an abundant amount of fresh material , & at competitive prices.

Good luck

That’s not true! People sell “one-offs” all the time and have consistent sales. February is notoriously slow for retail.

My sales are OK, not what they usually are this time of year, but OK.  It has been my experience that March and April are very slow, likely due to people trying to get their taxes done so they know if they owe or get a refund.  Until they know that, they likely curb their unnecessary spending.

I sell one offs and do OK, and that's correct - February is often sloooow save for Valentine's Day, and that's pretty market-specific.  It just dogs along like the variation on that joke "30 days has September, April, June and November, except February which has 80 days.

If more sellers on here would clean up their pictures they would get many more opportunities to get that listing shown on google. Do it people. It is something you can control.

We sell a hard to find /buy product. The product is always usually in demand.

seattlemower's reply / suggestion / statement :

"Buyers don't respond well to auctions with the buy it now features since someone can just outright buy it out from under them if they bid on it."

... isn't factually correct.  Once the first bid is placed on an "Auction" listing with a "Buy It Now" option, the "Buy It Now" option disappears.  This is done by eBay to keep exactly what seattlemower has described from happening.
