Any seed sellers? How do you ship?

My Adenium has produced some seed pods that will be ready to harvest soon.   I'll keep and grow some myself, but I'm going to have 200-300 seeds if what I've read is accurate.

They generally seem to be sold in small groupings (2s through 10s).

As a mostly fragiles seller, it's hard to not want to bubble wrap the heck out of everything, but a PWE is fine?

How should I wrap them up?

Send me some LOL 😉

When I get my seeds from Burpee and other places, they come in a small sealed envelope inside a small bubble mailer.

I don't think you want to go with a PWE because flats go through rollers during sort, which could crush the seeds.

I forgot to add ...

As a gardener, I appreciate when seed packets are labeled with what they are. I can't tell you how many times I get a package of seeds, throw the outer packaging away and forget what they were LOL  Then I have to use the "plant em, you'll know when they come up" method.

Planting and growing recommendations are nice too 🙂

I was going to do the planting/growing recommedations.

I thought wrapping in white tissue paper, putting in small zipper craft bag, add a little bubble and in a nice note card.   Maybe a popsicle stick and make it non-machineable?

Lots of sellers are listing with $1-$2 shipping and there are $3.95 FS listings which are obviously not sending FCP.

Be careful what you add (popsicle stick, bubble etc.).  If it's over 1/4 inch thick, it can't go as a letter (either machinable or not).

I think that if you keep them from getting any moisture and from getting crushed, you should be fine 🙂

Re: Any seed sellers? How do you ship?

Frankly, I wouldn't "dress" it up....I get the seed packets in letter envelop.  The packet is a small (sometimes VERY small) plastic baggie with instructions in the bag.....or if it's in a regular seed packet envelop it has the instructions printed on the envelop.......

Never gotten one with bwrap......mine have all been mailed with no tracking.......

I was a seed seller here on eBay at one tine. I had my own brand and did quite well for a while. As for shipping packets of small seeds, I wraped the seed envelope (seeds in a small zip bag, inside a paper seed envelope) in a layer of thin foam sheet, and put that inside a heavy stock PWE. Even with a packing slip and/or instructions, it qualified as machinable post.

Hope that helps.
