For those of you wondering why all of a sudden not making any sales, right now is when ebay makes massive changes, they do this at least 3 times a year. I warn of this coming every year. When they put you in there lovely beta tests, with new changes before others, YOUR SALES WILL DISAPPEAR.
As i have stated OVER AND OVER
CHANGES=NO TO LITTLE SALES
We all should be selling great right now, everyones getting there returns. BUT OH NOO, not here, there focused on changing the site over and over to the detriment of our sales. For those of you who are saying your sales are great, it's because your not in the tests, or have a large enough following that it won't affect you as bad or you have a adgenda. They LOVE to test on good sellers to, not ones with bad accounts.

@weschurch wrote:I wish people would understand the dynamics of this place. To average people they can't figure out why Ebay would do this, they see it as losing money to sales but having been in E-commerce for some time I can tell you its a real thing.
Let me try to explain. The mega sellers on this site is who profits Ebay the most. Ebay could never come out and say they didn't want the small sellers, but they don't really care either way.
Small sellers are nothing more than a loss leader to Ebay, except you lose, not Ebay. You are a way to get buyers surfing but once surfing they don't care if you actually get a sale or not. I know this may be tough to swallow but its not out of the norm in E-commerce. Most people can't understand why they would harm you if they are set to gain financially but to be perfectly honest, you don't make them much money. They don't hate you, they don't love you and honestly they only care that you are here to drive the big time sellers.
Exactly.
This is not news to me.
Several years back (2008? 2009?), when Donahoe (sp?) was still in command, there was a graphic from an eBay analysts' meeting showing what a small part of e-commerce $$$ was generated by collectibles and antiques. So, eBay was going after the mega sellers of new goods. I was also told, in person, that eBay made by far the most money from the big sellers, so those sellers would be catered to. Small seller were welcome, but should not expect a "level playing field", (and thus, that phrase passed into eBay history).
That I still sell here after 20 years means that I don't resent too much the direction eBay has taken. It also means that I make a profit, but don't depend on my small eBay income for anything except "extras".

And you to are correct about the Beta Testing!
Its all calculated manipulation, most won't be able to wrap their head around it. They think the 15.00 dollars they make Ebay from selling their kids old WWE figures somehow factors into Ebays bottom line. Why make 15.00 bucks when they can use those WWE figures to make thousands from Mr Mega seller selling to buyers who really just came here for your WWE figures to begin with?

Yep, agree, your totally correct when saying people cannot wrap there heads around it, but it is right in there face all the time! I always suggest in my posts that there is a reason for the testing, and changes, i dont like saying it here, it's to big for people to get. But it all boils down to site manipulation, who there in partnerships with, a website that is compatible with it's designation at all times. Thus, never ending testing and changes.
If everyone documented every time they see a change on there account, to the site changes, then charted there sales, they could actually see what months they will sell, and what months they wont be.
I know when a change is coming, my sales will just stop. Then i see the change, i have figured out that January to mid feb is the ONLY time i know of when there is no testing and changes. There at the drawing board.
I have also seen that very few people complain about sales during this time period. It all leads to site manipulation. My sales recently just went dead as well, and lo and behold, i am in several tests.......so there guiding my buyers, to bigger and better sellers as they see it during this time period.
