I had a wallet listed that said it was eel skin and made in Korea. In fact I had included a photo of the tag that said genuine eel skin and made in Korea. Received a message asking if the wallet is made from real eel skin from Korea? At first I thought it was a joke, but clicked on feedback left for others.
Although this person has almost 300 FB as a buyer, they have only left feedback 15 times over the years. Of those 15 comments, 14 were negatives. The majority were complaints about item not arriving yet. Buyer was listed in Guam. The only one time they left a green donut was with the comment- although I had to return this item the seller was very nice.
How quickly do you think I added them to my BBL? I also pulled the listing for now, I'm in no rush to sell it....

But was it real appealing peeled & sealed eelskin or just ordinary real eelskin? Inquiring minds actually don't give a **bleep**. 😁

Wondering does eBay still bill a seller the FVF if you pull a listing after the buyer contacts you, on suspicion you might have completed the sale outside?
Oh that's a great point, thank you. I haven't been charged anything but this was a fixed listing and I'm a long time TRS, so maybe they cut me some slack. I will keep an eye out just in case....
I've pulled listings after a potential buyer contacted me and never received charge. I think a human will review it to determine if it should be charged. Most of the time when I pull a listing it's because there's an error and it's too complicated to fix in 10 seconds, so I pull it and deal with it later. I'm sure someone is reading to see if contact info is being exchanged before the seller gets charged.

In his inital reply, watingtime didn't tell anyone they were "wrong" - he simply stated how he would have responded.
In his second post, he simply asked why he had been the target of a sarcastic, insulting and snarky response - when his post did not deserve anything of the sort. (I agree that the comment was as unexpected as it was dismissive.)
In his third post after being asked to explain his position, he did so politely and actually took great pains to reiterate that he was not disagreeing or disrespecting the OP's action, he was simply explaining why he would not have blocked the buyer.
Nowhere in his posts did he tell the OP or "ther estof us" that they were "wrong". He simply stated his opinion and made a case for it when he was invited to.
For someone to suggest his honest and reasoned responses were somewhow on par with condoning spousal abuse was uncalled for, insulting and offense and IMHO he deserves an apology. That was beyond the pale.

I'm right there with you on the BBL.
Been there, done it.
When a buyer asks me something that is clearly stated, and clearly shown in a listing I don't have enough need for the $$ to be made on the item to risk what may transpire from dealing with someone that for whatever reason can not see what is already there to be seen.
Selling a gray widget.
Says gray in the title.
Photo of a gray widget.
Says gray in the description with the disclaimer that monitor colors may vary.
What color is this widget?

Gray widget attracts Toon. Toon gets marooned on the Bad Behavior List. Game over.
Sellers have very few safeguards. The ability to block someone who's nothing but trouble who outs themselves before trouble ensues is one of the few usable ones.
