So I just received a promotion to upgrade my Premium Store to Anchor (which I USED to have before the Unreasonable rate increase) for 2 Months at the rate of my yearly subscription fee of $59.95. This promotion says 2 months BUT the fine print says I must cancel BEFORE 30 days of activation?? If I do not cancel within 30 days I will be hit with a Early Termination fee! What is up with that? Normally You have until the last day of the promotion which would be around 60 days for this 2 month upgrade promo to cancel. what is going on round here lately? has anyone else got this Promo? It says in the fine print it is good for all levels of stores but you must go up 1 level.

I have a monthly Basic subscription. I took advantage of the offer yesterday, after speaking with Amy in the eBay Marketing Team. I upgraded to a monthly Premium subscription. I will have to cancel the monthly Premium subscription by July 21st if I do not want to keep the Premium subscription past the 60 day offer. This is because of the billing cycle, I paid for May in June, will pay for June in July, will pay for July in August, etc.

My issue with the offering 2 months but have to cancel within 30 days is that it's my understanding that the instant you cancel you LOSE all the current level, so you WOULD only get 1 month of the upgrade at the promo price.

eta: I had a boardie friend who accepted an offer like this last year and she was billed ETF on her then current level store for activating the offer and UPGRADING.

What you say does make sense. Since I have already activated and upgraded, I guess that I will be taking the ride on this one and just have to see how it turns out

Hi, i just got off the phone with ebay. I am so not happy. I said it seems so dishonest as I didn't see that I had locked myself up for a year and it was for only 2 months. They do this on purpose I'm sure. Very wrong of them.
