Why is my available funds always in the negative? What does that mean?
I currently do not have a "automatic payment method" or "backup payment method set.
My choices are:
Paypal
Checking account
Credit card
If i opened up a checking account just for managed payments, should it set to that checking account?

Thanks! I checked out the link but it doesn't really cover "automatic payment method" and/or "backup payment method".

They will take it out of the checking account you use to get paid, if you don’t have any pending funds after 14 days (depending)
I’m guessing you will always have pending funds and it won’t matter what you choose for auto or backup.
Everyone has options. Just be sure the best option is right for you.

I assume that you are on daily payouts. I’d think that by the time you check, payments have cleared, and eBay is sending your payout to you.
I’m in weekly payouts, so I’m usually at a positive avail funds balance.

The $351 has not processed yet......as soon as it does, it will wipe out the neg charge.......the charge is for shipping probably......
You apparently already have your payments paid into a checking account ( last payout was sent).....it's up to you whether you want a cking acct dedicated only for ebay.......
Personally, my backup is a cc......so I can make the cash back......and also because I can dispute charges.....I'm not sure you can use PP as a backup.......perhaps it's changed since I signed up.....\
Since they are transitioning soon to all charges being taken out of payouts.....it may be almost a moot point, assuming you have adequate sales to pay the store charges (if you have a store)........but there could be a refund that ends up being charged to your whatever.......

Have you bought $29 worth of postage from your pending payouts, and is eBay is waiting for your processing funds to be cleared so they can deduct it?

Yes. I just leaned that today, from this post. So they'll deduct if from future sales or after X amount of days if there are no sales to cover it, they will take it from my linked checking account?

Yep!
Happened to me once and after calculating my shipping since that is only taken out when I purchase my shipping labels.
This was the only reason that I changed my daily payouts to weekly.
