I ended my last promoted listings on April 1................Starting with April 2 and going on through today April 7, I'm still being charged ad fees...............Over the last week, I wasted much time on the phone talking to six or seven different Ebay reps and each one has told me something different..............The last one told me I have to uncheck each of my listings to avoid the fees...............With close to 4500 items, that would take way too much time..........I have done promoted listings in the past and have never run into this problem before............I'm starting to think that this is just another scam for Ebay to make more money.............Has anyone else run into this problem?

If the buyer looked at your listing while it was being promoted and bought it after you turned it off, the cookie will last 30 days.
If they buy it within 30 days from the time you turned it off, you'll still be charged the promotion fee.

I find it hard to believe that the ad fees on at least 6 items were looked at by the buyers and purchased after the promotion was over

It does seem odd, but the buyer has no interest in knowing if the item was Promoted or not. If it went on her Watch List until payday.... there you go.
It's like Managed Payments, very few buyers will know how to spot MP sellers over PP sellers. It makes no difference to them.

With close to 4500 items, that would take way too much time..
Set up you Active Listings page to show the maximum number of listings (100 or 200).
Click on the box at the top left. All the boxes below will be ticked.
Go to Actions.
Go to Promote.
Go to End Promotion.
Repeat.

It might be hard to believe, but it's possible.
They might have looked at the listing and decided to wait until payday to buy it.
Sometimes, I'll check a listing every few days for a couple weeks before deciding if I want to buy it or not.
