Those who bemoan eBay seller fees won’t find a new home at Amazon.

I just placed a uber eats order.
Them too, a "temporary fuel surcharge".

Well I'm sure people are loving that on their seller boards. May cause some to only do FBM if they are able to. But will then potentially mean less sales. Fun!
So fee's can range from 8% to I guess above 20%. But a lot seem to be at 15%. Clothing however is 17%. So sell some jeans at $30. $5.10 + 30c + 99c (if you don't have a subscription) will become $6.60 + 30c + 99c. And that's on top of storage fees for FBA. And I think clothing gets an extra fee on top of that (or maybe that's why clothing is 17% now). Not to mention having to get ungated in those categories/brands.
And there is this. Don't recall this being there when I sold there a few years ago:
Sellers also pay a closing fee of $1.80 per item that is sold in the categories of Books, DVD, Music, Software & Computer/Video Games, Video Game Consoles, and Video Game Accessories.

This only applies to FBA - it does not apply to 3rd party merchant sellers. We have a co-op agreement and our fee changes do not go into effect until 7/1 and we knew in mid-first quarter they would change about 3%.
Sellers on Amazon who do not use FBA will not be affected.

Biden is kicking Big Oil in its fat rump to stop gouging the public, and gas at the pump is going down, but it's always been "rise like a rocket and fall like a feather" - inflation was so much worse back in the day but big oil was still diddling prices. 😠 Hopefully the price will keep dropping.

The small drop in price is most likely because they opened up the reserves again. Which maybe caused a slight dip in the oil market. My guess is most likely we'll start seeing an increase sometime next week or later in the month. And we haven't even gotten into the increases that usually happen once they start doing the summer blends.
Also not sure how the E15/E85 push will be that beneficial with prices. Particularly if crops this year are probably not going to be as good or more expensive because of fertilizer costs and whatnot. But perhaps corn wouldn't be hit as hard in that area.

Bidens war on fossil fuels is the reason for gas prices going up. Has nothing to do with Big Oil gouging the public. This is Bidens price hikes and Bidens inflation. He caused it and he and the dems own it.

@chapeau-noir ... is anyone taking wagers?

Not me! Supply chains and markets are so wobbly right now who knows, even with increased oil production in the last year, and despite exporting more than we imported in 2021 under Biden (and earlier for a period of time under Trump) we've never been energy independent, whatever the political apparatchiks want to say - too much of a heavy crude/light oil mismatch. So that has to work. Nope, no betting for me.

Sky rocketing inflation, rising energy prices and world war. There's no reason to expect that any of this will be temporary, at least not until there is a regime change... and then who knows which way the wind will blow.

It would help if Putin was gone, but then again, he's the devil we know.
But I suspect you may be too young to understand what "skyrocketing inflation" really is. It's not what we're going through now. And it's a worldwide problem at this time.

Its only on fba sellers.
In this case since its optional to be in fba, which has amazon storing and delivering these sellers packages, its actually extremely logical and understandable, nothing smarmy or milking out more just because they can, while telling anyone lies it will be better for them when its actually worse.
They did this correctly. Targeted exactly on the people who opt to be in fba and benefit from amazon delivering their items for them.
