eBay, you need to stop treating your most loyal long-term sellers with such blatant disrespect. ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE LISTED WITH THE SAME VIEWABILITY.

If items must be "promoted" by forcing sellers to give up what little profit margin they may have left in this runaway inflationary economy, you will soon have no sellers left except your favored fraudsters, cheats, scammers, drop shippers, etc.

No, just pointing out another fact...that rockstars and superstars are far more inclined to back up shady activity, whereas the small fry are far more likely to just upvote these threads without posting, or to private message their support.

Is that what we want here? ...a community gilded and guided by intimidation?

If you are pretending to be a regular eBay seller who is actually EBAY THEMSELVES that is bogus. If you are getting items from customs that are being rejected falsely (as what happened to one of my paintings) that, too, is bogus.

Still waiting for you Rockstars to post proof that eBays front accounts selling seized merchandise are admitting they are really eBay, Inc. selling seized items.

Nobody said they would … as they’re probably NOT eBay … but rather liquidators who purchased a stash of items from eBay Inc. (or PitneyBowes or GSP).

How about you showing us one of these ‘bogus’ relistings that DIDN’T describe their origin. I’ve never seen one of those.

The most common thing I post on this board is this: "Any buyer can steal any item from any seller at any time by filing a fraudulent dispute". Is that "backing up shady activity", or is it simply simply posting an observation about it?

Is that what we want here? ...a community gilded and guided by intimidation?

I see one littered with unfair insults, false accusations, and unfounded conjecture. Actually, that's not really fair. It's really only a few posters who started a few threads who can't stand having their ideas being challenged.

Frankly, you havent proved your case anywhere in this thread, and I read the whole thing today. I also am not seeing 'intimidation' responses either. Just many factual responses to some of your kind of outlandish,unproven, theories.(paranoia comes to mind.) Keep in mind, you always get back what you give on the boards.Thats obviously whats happening here.

Has anyone noticed when you do a refund for a return on a promoted listing eBay doesn't credit the promotion fee ! Everything is pro refund and free returns but the whole burden is on the seller.

Too bad you can't see all the "little people" who are so sick of having their items "disappeared" for refusing to give what little profits they have left in this inflationary disaster of an economy over to eBay through "promotional selling" ripoffs.

All of we small fry who have been here for a long time have sat quietly by and watched every rule change and new policy over the years take us toward less personal freedom, more fees for eBay, worse and worse customer service, and glitchier and glitchier programming. We've about had it.

This is a technicality that doesn't really add much to the conversation.

You're not forced to buy gas for your car either, but if you want to be able to get to work, you'll need to.

If we don't use promoted listings, eBay reduces our traffic by 80-90%. Our ORGANIC traffic drops in addition to promoted traffic. Even our non-promoted listings show up less in search.

Is this a "choice" for us? Not really. If we didn't invest, we'd have gone out of business years ago.

At the end of the day, we have to pay to get LESS traffic that we used to get for free. It's an inadvertent fee increase.
