No one said they needed more compensation. Huge manatees are wherever one may see them, though...
Maybe no returns would serve you better. Just a thought. Then you can take all the time you want when the SNAD comes in.
Or you can require an RMA as someone suggested.
No that isn't correct, A snad will be an auto return, returns or not.
You don't have anytime to think about anything unless you set up an RMA
You're right.

Boy I'm glad I'm just a hobby seller now back when I was running it as a business I'd go months on end and never hear a thing somedays I'd wonder if my email was broken and I'd check it. 20,000 items running and not a peep now 1000 items running and it just a contious daily drone....

Edited. Recent SNADs have required the seller to accept the return; none were automatically accepted. If the seller did not accept the return, Ebay sent the label when asked to step in. If the seller accepted the return, it still wasn't automatic. These were very recent experiences so I don't know why they weren't automatically accepted as you say they are.

Do you really get so many returns and SNADs it is a continuous daily drone?
I guess you just mean returns because you were surprised with this SNAD.
Stil, WOW. Sorry about your luck!

@bubbleman2010 wrote:So it says I have until Oct. 30th to issue a return label is that a true or false statement coming from ebay?
Appears for you it hasn't been issued just accepted so you should be good until the 30th if the label was not issued & they say you have until the 30th.
I have my RMA set so I haven't had to deal with this
It is clear in link below & on the graph they show there is no 3 days it is immediate label.
And I would wonder/worry about #1 below , if they did immediate accept for you how come they didn't issue your label ?

We are increasing automation to save you time and give you quicker access to funds on hold. It also delivers a streamlined returns experience for buyers by providing them immediate access to return labels and faster refunds. There are two changes to the returns process:

They warned us this was coming....so how does one issue their own label? Looks like it is time for me to get the RMA whatever so that I don't get 20 lbs of smashed vase returned.

Well I was only stating the policy. I agree, eBay needs to step back. The seller should have the option to provide their own label. This is just eBay catering to the buyer as usual.
I fully agree. A lot of sellers like to provide their own shipping labels because they get better rates, they want to add insurance or signature confirmation, or they want to use a specific carrier. It's one thing to auto-accept and a different thing to auto-send a label. eBay should not be auto-sending labels. I use RMAs so I can control my own return labels.

I am interested to know if you still have the option of offering a partial refund through the return request even though it was auto-accepted.
For instance: You sent 4 widgets and 1 cracked in transit, buyer sent a clear photo and you're both good with a partial refund for the 1 item. Or you sent 4 widgets and all 4 were completely crushed in transit when a truck ran over the package so you would rather refund in full without a return then file an insurance claim. Do you still have the partial and full refund options or is it a forced all-or-nothing send the item back return?

Did ebay also issue a return label or do you still have that choice?

There are a few ways...
I use a 3rd party shipping program, so a click or two for me is all I need to do, regardless of carrier. I assume most 3rd party programs and selling tools like SixBit could do it too, but don't know for sure.
Stamps.com has a free account they offer to ebay sellers. Call them and they'll hook you up. That's my preferred way, because you can print a label that isn't charged to you until it's scanned. Print to pdf and email or upload to case. I do both to make sure.
Don't know if Paypal labels offer that feature or not.
Pirate Ship is a free web based provider that also offers pay-on-use capabilities. They also say they can give you a private link to send to the customer to directly access the label for them to print.
I'm signed up there. It looks pretty nice. Haven't used any of these features yet.
