I have seen it at the bottom of the description box.

I would never use AI for a description. 

It is wordy and flowery and fake.

AI comes across like a used car salesman - was "driven by an old lady once a week to church"

Very sparingly if at all.   It tends to be just "wordy fluffy drivel" that nobody is interested in wading through.  Buyers are more interested in pertinent facts such as size, material, condition (anything that makes it not mint) as well as specifications that are applicable.  Nobody wants to read the repetitive garbage that the program here generates.

Don't use it.  If I'm looking at an item to buy and see a seller has used AI, I just back out and move on.  I want the facts, not some flowery word salad.

 @ittybitnot and @klhmdg mentioned other reasons above, additionally you also have to carefully check what AI has written to make sure it is accurate.  Sometimes AI writes incorrect info because it doesn't know exactly what you are selling, what the condition is, or other pertinent info.  I have seen some listings that were so wrong and for whatever reason, the seller didn't bother to read it and correct it.

I have never tried it, Because all i hear from sellers on this forum are terrible results, So until i here different i won't use it.

@begniar  If you use the AI option, be certain you read it over and edit it - it'll be better than the non-description you have now, but not much, and will just annoy buyers with fluff. You can write two sentences about your items on your own and do a much better job. It takes a minute, but think of it as chatting with your buyers, drawing them into your offerings - that's how I see it. And it sounds real, unlike AI which sounds fake.

Even if a seller uses AI, you are 100% responsible for what your description says.  I much prefer to do it myself.
