Just venting. I know nothing will change.
I have 594 active listings. My storefront search reads "Search all 577 items." Does that mean not all of my listings are searchable? It's not like I could randomly search 594 listings and find out which ones aren't visible. I have no idea. It seems extremely unfair to be told that your listings are active when, in fact, they are not visible at all. It gives me the same feeling when I see that all of my sales numbers are up except listing impressions as though I could improve that number. eBay controls how often my listings are visible. It seems like a great way for them to pressure you to buy their extra ad services. Just another scam on people who already pay for storefronts. 'Nuf said. Have a nice day 🙂

I do not think it is a "scam".
When I look at your active listings while viewing 60 listings per page, I see 9 pages of 60 listings plus the last page which has 54 listings.
So I see 594, even though eBay's counter says there are only 577.
So as far as I can tell, all 594 of your listings are visible and it is the counter total of 577 that is incorrect.

Your store is one of the low priorities for indexing.
You may be seeing the absence of recently relisted items. It is likely that within hours of the last relist of the day your store total will be correct.
Many non-essential parts of the system show latency in updating. Processing orders are done in real time.

Curious, does this apply to indexing of all stores? Does a new listing receive a higher priority than a relisted one/ sell similar? I know there have been a few discussions on this, but wanted your insight!

As a buyer (Ebay ran me off as a seller a decade ago) I can say that sometimes when I'm searching for a known item from a known seller, Ebay's search results -WILL NOT- bring up the item I know is listed, just a ton of junk listings from China and payed "sponsored" results.
I had the same problem in my last years as a seller checking on my listings, they rarely came up on searches.
Yet, I could find the item listed on the seller's page when they did not show up on key word searches.
(I've been on Ebay since the 90's and I know how key word and search refinement categories work.)
Come to your own conclusion.

It has been an issue for years. It does NOT mean that all your listings are not searchable. It has a two fold issue.
If you are a seller that uses the OOS inventory function, then your active listings in your Seller Hub consider your out of stock listing. So those zero quantity listings count in your Seller Hub but NOT in your Store View.
That coupled with reindexing. Simply the timing of when GTC listings relist. So there can be a brief period that this affects.
All your Store listings are searchable. That has not changed.
