did you get an mc999 requesting the same info again, claiming they haven't received it ? If so did you ever get it unlocked ?

We have a BUSINESS account, yet they are demanding that we uoload a PERSONAL ID with RESIDENCE ADDRESS, ETC on it. I talked to a supervisor at eBay, she said this policy is based on INFORM LAW passed by congress. I researched, it's not a law, it's BILL, called S.936 INFORM CONSUMERS ACT, it has not been voted on. Moreover, the bill states that Business accounts may submit a government TAX DOCUMENT instead of PERSONAL ID (but eBay is refusing to do the same). I called eBay again, they told me if I don't like it I should write to eBay's president at

Office of the President, 2025 Hamilton Ave, San Jose, CA 95125 - which I am doing. In this case, ebay requiring PERSONAL ID for BUSINESS accounts is ridiculous, it's not part of the INFORM ACT bill they are citing. This is an overreach by eBay that even teh US Government is not doing! Will eBay's CEO upload his personal ID with his residence address or passport to businesses eBay deals with? I'm calling all ebay BUSINESS account owners to contact eBay to object to PERSONAL ID requirements. Uploading an IRS tax document should be sufficient as the US bill suggests.

How can eBay gurantee that Personal Photo ID with sensitive information or Passport photo will be kept secure or will not be hacked at some point? Ebay should allow BUSINESS accounts to submit a government Tax document instead of photo ID as the S.936 bill ( not a law yet) suggests.

US Congress Bill S936 and HR5502 states:

(ii) CONTACT INFORMATION.—Contact information for such seller as follows:

(I) With respect to a high-volume third party seller that is an individual, the individual's name.

(II) With respect to a high-volume third party seller that is not an individual, one of the following forms of contact information:

(aa) A copy of a valid government-issued identification for an individual acting on behalf of such seller that includes the individual's name.

(bb) A copy of a valid government-issued record or tax document that includes the business name and physical address of such seller.

... So, why is eBay not accepting government-issued record or tax document for a BUSINESS account ???
