Hello,
I received one today as well. Had Ebay CS call me to get an explanation: she told me that I haven't uploaded an identification within the last year. Her explanation didn't make sense because I've never had to upload a form of ID.
I went ahead an uploaded my passport...I'll come back here when I get word of the outcome.

Have you signed up for managed payments? The message seems to indicate that you haven't or they are asking for an updated verification document to make sure your account information is updated and compliant for the new 1099K they have to issue

They probably send out that message to groups of people.
I got the same message in my eBay messages. I've been in managed payments for probably 2 years now. This is the first they have asked me for updated ID. I did my driver's license this morning when I saw the message. Response was it would take a couple of days to verify.

It's not new, they've been requesting that information from some sellers for awhile now.

I have done all that was requested and still get the same request. Photos are with the limits and all info is completed. What is going on?

Having this same thing happen rn. I uploaded my ID last night, waiting for “verification”. Payouts still on hold

When I uploaded my ID, I got the same message the next day and ignored it. That was a month ago or so. Have not received another request since then.
I have heard of quite a few others with the same experience.

is it really like that? I'll call e bay customer service to see if it's real

I had the same thing happen. Got the message and I responded with my drivers license within less than an hour. During that hour my payments had no indication of being "on Hold" But then this morning I discover payments are on hold. I called two times and got two different answers.: one said it would be on hold for 24 hours and the other said it would be 48. Their customer service is terrible. And doing this the way they do it is pure ignorance.

The law requires it now. ebay has to retain your personal info if you sell over $600, it is the law.
ebay already required personal information before the laws were ever passed. They requested all my personal info years ago. Anytime they flag an account for review, they will demand all personal info, including ID, SS, and address info.

I already sent my driver license to ebay now I have to wait for them to send a message? please can someone tell me?
Thanks a lot

At first it only asked for the last 4 digits of my SS# but I mis-typed and now it is asking for everything.
The irritating thing is, I've been with them & PP since they started so they already have all of my PII/PPI.
