Latest email from the boss man ebay. Aren't there Federal financial laws that prohibit these kind of moves by a business? I guess we are going to be forced into managed payments one way or the other. I wish the FTC would crawl up ebay's you know what. I think the action required is to find some other way to sell my stuff.

Sellers who haven’t received an email shouldn’t concern themselves with managed payments at this time.
Thanks for selling on eBay.

I'm not a fan of the "ignorance is bliss" approach to life.
Any function on this site that I will eventually be forced to use (or quit selling here) does concern me. I have never received an invite to MP, but I still intend to pay attention, be concerned, and gather all the information I can about the program. "Forewarned is forearmed."

I received this email and I am in the Global Shipping Program. So why did I receive it? Am I going to eventually be forced to disable GSP and join MP because I received an invite, even though I should not have?

+1, Same here.
Significant GSP sales yet still have been receiving managed payments invitations from the start.

1. Anytime ebay used the word STREAMLINED you know that rediculious word for "we want to stick it to you", i have a anger and a laugh at the same time.
2. MOST seller will see less fees, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN????? MOST? So not everyone will???
3. So many questions, is ebay charging these fees? Apple pay does not charge a seller, at all, google pay charges buyer, so do some of these others, why do we have to have any fees for these payments? Why cant we manage our own payments?
And so on....

@tealt And you should pay attention! And hello - I meant, the details of the program will change as we build it out, so check the announcements but don't worry about specifics until you are invited, they may change (e.g. supports Charity listings, pricing, etc.)

I also have significant questions about the program specifically in regards to accounting. I pay my daughter out of our sales money and PP makes that easy to see how much we have received during the given period. It sounds like it will be difficult to track how much sales money is received into a bank account when there are daily deposits. I don't know if my bank will have limits on those either. I would like to transfer blocks of money, not get it trickling in!

Don't worry about the specifics? Really? You are telling us not to concern ourselves with the details until we are forced to deal with them. This statement alone in very concerning. Sounds like something a 1980's used car salesman would say.

@mynewfindstore You will be able to - daily, weekly, etc. We have been working with sellers in the program and this request came up and is being developed. It's the benefit of having sellers in managed payments - they get to help drive the features that all sellers will want.
Thanks

Did the announcement included specific date for the addition of the managed payments account fund?
All, I'm traveling and about to land, so am going to drop - I will try and check in tomorrow am - I'm at a seller event this evening in Chicago.
Thanks and I sent the User IDs to the team if you stated you use GSP
Thanks for selling on eBay

When you get back, I have a (I think) valid question.
MP is (at the moment) ONLY required for sellers registered on .com, correct?
What if a seller is registered on .com but ALSO lists on other sites for example Canada, using the same ID? Can MP support payments received to the same ID from countries other than USA? Currently any sales from my Canadian listings are paid in CAD to my PayPal.

The Justice Department and 50 State Attorney Generals are investigating Google and other Internet companies ... eventually this too will be looked at.
Didn't google buy the US government? I thought the slogan on our coins says "In Goggle We Trust".

"Sellers who have been invited to managed payments can be required to register."
Invitation and required just doesn't seem to fit into the same sentence.

It reminds me of the recent flap when some sellers were "opted-in" to WebInterpret despite having no knowledge or intention of doing so.
