Accurate description, eBay charged. How can I speak to a supervisor?

Hi,

Sold an item back in July. Took several photos of the item. Buyer didn’t ask any questions and purchased now. Shipped to them for $45. They received item and all was well. Weeks later they filed an eBay money back guarantee stating that when they went to use it the motor vehicle stated they needed a vin tag. This was not includded on this year but buyer clearly has buyer remorse and didn’t understand what they were buying. eBay refunded them and I’m out my shipping charges. Further, they created a return label for $95 to return the item and charged me for it. Issue is also that I didn’t not have a return address listed and eBay choose 1/12 shipping addresses listed. Item returned to a previous home three hours away. Out $145 and the item. eBay ruled the case in my favor but refunded nothing. Going over many calls for months with no customer service rep to resolve. Any ideas on how to reopen or get some resolution. This just don’t right when I did nothing wrong.

Your buyer has filed a Not As Described dispute?

Sigh.

You can argue and lose or you can accept the return (possibly even paying for it) and get a saleable item back.

No refund until you do have the item back.

You have to take responsibility.

The return label was provided by eBay because you didn't do it yourself.

The item went to the wrong address because you didn't keep your address up to date.

Did the current tenant of the item refuse it? Did you attempt to reach him and retrieve the item?

Not every transaction will go perfectly, but ignoring the system in place for settling disputes guarantees a poor outcome.

Except you did this  wrong:

"eBay refunded them and I’m out my shipping charges. Further, they created a return label for $95 to return the item and charged me for it."

I take it you didn't respond to (or refused) the return request? If not, that was wrong, and you can see the consequences.

And you did this wrong:

"Issue is also that I didn’t not have a return address listed and eBay choose 1/12 shipping addresses listed. Item returned to a previous home three hours away."

I can't think of any way this could have turned out any differently, based on the above missteps.
