Account restriction

My account was put om restriction Friday  the 2 nd for the third time in 30 days. Each restriction was unfounded  (no good reason for doing it). I had to call the last time and explain why it should not have been restricted. The appeal was forwarded to a supervisor. It only took two hours this time. Not like last time it took 11 days on a 10 day restriction.  The ebay rep called in two hours and said the account should not have been restricted and I could now list items.  However they did not free up the search engine to this account, so for the last 5 days we have not been selling. I want eBay to open the search engine to this account ASAP., I have tried to call eBay but since I can't get ahold of anyone, you must want me to go somewhere else.. Julie

Re: Account restriction

The phone clerks don't work for eBay. They work for a subcontractor in Utah and are notoriously undertrained and have no authority. Not even the supervisors.

Re: Account restriction

The original suspension was very simple - it was their standard line - I violated their firearms policy.  I never received an explanation as to why.  When it was appealed it was reversed within 2 hours which is phenomenal.  The young lady I was talking to advised me they had taken my account off restriction and I was welcome to relist the item that had been removed and I was welcome to list any items I wished.  I did list approximately 6 new items.  After 2 days I noticed there were absolutely no sales, which has never happened before. So I simply searched for the exact title for one of my items and nothing came up in the search.  After searching for several other items and none of them coming up, I called and made another complaint which was expedited with a repair ticket to their tech staff.  This is now day #6 and nothing is coming up in any searches - our items are still hidden and our income is zero.  A special note:  I am still paying for my store and listing fees as listed items go through their 30 days and are relisted automatically.  In summary, 6 days of no searches, 6 days of no sales and 6 days of paying eBay fees. I just got off the phone with an eBay team member who has assured me he would do 'everything he could' to clear up this problem...

That behavior usually leads to a permanent account restriction.  To the untrained eyes it looks like you are circumventing the no firearms policy by breaking working guns down into parts that can be reassembled into weapons.

Re: Account restriction

Quit calling eBay regular CS. They are going to get you permanently suspended. ONLY go to eBay on Facebook, of which the link has already been provided upthread. Regular CS is a worthless embarrassment.

Re: Account restriction

From the looks of your sold listings, you are selling what looks like enough parts that you are actually selling a complete gun. I would guess that has a lot to do with you being permanently banned sooner or later.

Re: Account restriction

@gunpartsonly

The search engine isn't going to do any good if you don't have anything listed.

Have a great day.
