What's up sellers, my account has gone to below-standard performance over some fraudulent buyers.

That extra 6% in fees and losing the ability to promote my products hurts!

The only way to get my account metrics up to par is to sell more products.

Does anybody know of super quick/cheap things that you can buy at retail price and sell on eBay for break even or even a small loss?

thank you!

Correct me if I'm wrong but the only way to restore your account status is to wait until the next evaluation period which would be about 11 months from now.

You are wrong.

Account evaluations happen every month.

You can increase your metrics and take yourself out of below standard. Once you increase your metrics the next evaluation should take them out of Below Standard.

No that isn't the only way.  First thing to do is understand why and how you got to this place.  Then for future sales you try to make sure you don't make those same mistakes.  While the OP thinks it is the buyer's fault, it isn't.  Either that or they have had too many buyers that are having a horrible experience buying from them.

So how you got to this place is the first thing to figure out and find a way you can avoid this in the future.

Then the next thing is find ways to increase your number of transactions so you can dilute the numbers.  Fine something that isn't too expensive that could be a regular seller for you to pump up those numbers.

What do you mean by "you can increase your metrics and take yourself out of below standard." ?

If you can't infer the meaning, I don't know what to say.

I guess you can just not know? 🤷‍

That wasn't necessary, it is a legit question.  "increase your metrics" likely won't help.  Their metrics is likely what created their issue.  Now if they increase their transactions that can help by diluting the numbers.  But while you do that you need to try very hard not to get any more dings in your metrics or defects on your dashboard.

So while you don't want to answer the legit question, that is fine and is your right, but it makes no sense.

I stand by what I said. I guess you don't have to know.

I don't feel the need to spell out simple things.

Am I obligated to?

My advice is to fully understand what you are offering and then make sure you deliver on it.   :yellow_cat_large:

@jacha470913 ,

How is it hurting? If you were paying more than 6% to promote your listings when you were able to, you are making more money on the items yous you sell now than before.

If you are getting too many fraudulent returns I would try offering 30 day FREE RETURNS. This removes the incentive for buyers to file INAD returns under eBays MBG to avoid paying for return shipping.

You have sold 217 items in the last 90 days. Many sellers would die for sales like that. You don’t seem to be hurting to me.

First thing I would do is stop selling phones, which to my mind is sort of like standing on a street corner with your wallet wide open and your eyes closed shut.

As for "super cheap things," try the Salvation Army or Goodwill.  I visited one near me the other day and found some $75 porcelain made in France in 1905 for $2.99, and the store manager gave me a discount because she knows I'm a regular.

Your notion of "super cheap" will vary from anyone commenting on this thread or anyone for that matter. Can you define a range for what this mean exactly? Without waiting for suggestions from the community, just by looking at any items that are frequently selling on the site and the price range you have in mind is already your answer right there tbh.

@mam98031 @theteamsetguy

Clearly the OP is making an attempt at a SSP so we all go and look to see what it is they are promoting and what isn't working for them but clearly their sales figures are fine.
