After I maintained my eBay account for TWENTY-ONE YEARS with 100% POSITIVE feedback on 1,342 transactions, eBay wrongfully and rudely emailed me that my eBay account was permanently suspended because of what they said was: "activity that we believe was placing the eBay community at risk." They DELETED MY PROFILE PHOTO and made me to appear as "not a registered member." This all happened at 3PM, when they also emailed me simultaneously THIRTEEN notifications of "Bid Cancellations" on my last thirteen ebay purchases which I had bought using "Buy Now." Their suspension notice left me no recourse whatsoever. Every phone number that I found online and called was answered with a recording that the line was no longer a working number, and directing me to use ebay.com/help. I was devastated. I was so shocked and stunned that I did not know what to do, so I prayed about it and went to sleep. Then seven hours later, I received an email notification that my account was reinstated. They said nothing about making a mistake, but simply closed their letter, "We look forward to building a successful relationship with you on eBay. I received no explanation or apology. This is no way to conduct a business. I did nothing to provoke such a slap in the face.

Wow...that is messed up.
I am happy that you were re-instated. Not many accounts get a second chance...even when the user did nothing wrong.
I have no idea what would have led to your account suspension and (even more amazing) your account being re-instated.
Even though eBay didn't say it, I am sorry that this happened to you through apparently no fault of yours.
Welcome back!

This is a know issue, we may never know what the real cause was. These things can happen, and it can be quite jarring as it effects our means of living.

The "technical issues " were a horrorshow.
I hope eBay does something to apologize, like giving the affected accounts a year of Promoted Listings free of charge.

From what I can glean from from other threads is that this was a (horrible) GLITCH.

Could be worse you could be a YouTuber and then block you at a drop of a hat. I only know some basic information about SQL and php coding. If something can go wrong it will go wrong. In tech lots can go wrong. Glad it worked out.

Wow! All I can say is what a mess. Someone can randomly be removed from ebay due to someone else's carelessness. Sorry this was your experience, but glad all came out in your favor in the end. Welcome back and Happy selling.

Update: After ebay wrongfully rudely permanently suspended my account for no reason on Dec 3, at 3:37 pm, and reinstated it for no stated reason, that same day a few hours later Dec 3, at 10:06 pm, today, a week later, on Dec 10, at 12:04 pm, eBay emailed me an apology, stating:
"Hi ggammel, We recently had a technical issue that resulted in your account being inadvertently restricted or suspended. We fixed the issue, and your account has been reinstated. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused and hope it didn't disrupt your business. As always, thank you for selling on eBay, and for being part of the eBay community. ~The eBay Selling Team. "
I only sold a few items on eBay 20 years ago. I maintained 100% positive feedback on all of my eBay transactions: 40 feedback ratings as a seller, and 1,437 feedback ratings as a buyer.

As I have posted a number of times I will be forever grateful that eBay's IT department is working for eBay and NOT associated with the control of our nuclear weapons systems.
