Accepting Offers

Hello! Does anyone know how to accept an expired offer from a buyer? I regretted making a counter offer; should have taken the buyers offer.

Re: Accepting Offers

There is no way to accept an expired offer.

Are you communicating with the buyer about this? If not, why would you think it would be OK, or even possible, to hold them responsible for an offer that expired?

As suggested, you can tell them to submit the offer again.

Re: Accepting Offers

You countered, they walked. They have no obligation to buy from you. You cannot go back in time. Best to contact and see if they would offer again,,,,,,maybe a few bucks off their offer might entice them. Most would say sorry you had your chance. Good Luck!

Re: Accepting Offers

I need to explain myself.

As the seller, I’m not trying to hold the buyer responsible!  I simply wish l had accepted an offer, and don’t know how to reach them to ask if they still wish to buy the item. When l tap on buyer’s “name”, there isn’t a link to message them. Thanks to all who have answered so far!

Lower the price to what they offered: if you are willing to take it from them:

some one else may want it for that price.

They also may be still watching it and still decide to purchase it.

Its not rocket science folks....

Re: Accepting Offers

You cannot accept an expired offer. Ask the would-be buyer to re-enter the offer. But you cannot ask him to  because he does not allow messages to be sent to him.

Re: Accepting Offers

I would let it go.

As a Buyer, I would wonder why you changed your mind.  You didn't let one expire - you countered and they passed.

Re: Accepting Offers

Can try messaging them to see if they're still interested in it for that amount.

Re: Accepting Offers

If you send your offers without allowing counteroffers, there is no way to communicate with the buyer when they send you an offer or a note in the offer.   I started a thread about it recently.   The link to the buyer does not work when you click on it.   Which is fine, but then Ebay shouldn't allow them to send me questions in the messages.   So, no, there's no way to do it b/c you don't know who the potential buyer is.

Re: Accepting Offers

You can message the buyer through a link on their feedback profile.  Be prepared with the item number as eBay will make you enter it before you can send the message.
