Hello -
I opened our eBay store in the beginning of April. We have since sold a rough total of $1,600. Since this time we have received ONE payout of roughly $10 YES that’s right TEN dollars. The best part is what happened tonight. I requested an automatic payout of our available $148 and now I’m SO over eBay I could scream. I get a message saying “we are conducting a standard review for the month. Your funds will be available in 5 business days! This company is awful 1,000% awful. I’m going to close down everything on our store and take my goods somewhere else. What a RIP OFF and unethical company.
sincerely,
disappointed.

Thank you and noted however, I have found in the past eBay was a great marketplace for global exposure. As far as experience under my belt, what exactly with the exception of the camera and lenses do you find questionable? Curious?

New Seller Hump? Is that in fine print?
The "new seller hump" is slang for the fact that new sellers are usually subject to 30 days holds. It is in the fine print I posted 3 posts before yours.
This is basically making interest off the things I’ve sold.
It is no coincidence that the 30 day holds that eBay puts new sellers match up with the 30 days that buyers have file a dispute against a fraudulent seller. I suspect eBay would rather not be left holding the bag for the refunds due from those fraudulent sellers.

How is a buyer at risk if they’ve already received their product and have reported a positive outcome?

You're mad at ebay because...
Nobody wants to buy your stuff.
You failed to read the rules before selling.

This is the most effective and best response I have received. I am always willing to take wisdom when it comes from someone whom is visibly wise. Your thoughtful response is very telling. I greatly appreciate it and will take a look inward and make adjustments. I must explain one small thing, I do feel that 60 days is very patient BUT again, perhaps I have some patience to exhibit. Thank you again for the most intelligent and insightful response. “It is better to remain silent, if thought of as a fool; then to speak up and remove all doubt.” You are the one I hear and will take to heart.

@thelongball has given you a nice response that explains everything. You are still in the honeymoon phase of ebay and your funds will be available soon, and as others have said the hold is to protect you as a seller and ebay.
I just want to add that regardless if you stay here or if you go elsewhere, you should be aware that leaving neutrals for a slow USPS experience is not a good way to go. If the seller shipped right away and the tracking uploaded and scanned acceptance, it is in the hands of the post office and not the seller so that's not a fair assessment of them. You can look at your tracking to see where the package is and do not necessarily need the seller's assistance to find it. The post office is having issues, and delays, all over the country.
I wish you well in your future endeavors. It does look like you are off to a good start here. You can do very well here.

"How is a buyer at risk if they’ve already received their product and have reported a positive outcome? "
Unfortunately, you wouldnt be the first seller to receive a positive feedback, then three weeks later have that buyer open a not as described case against you. Ebay prefers that any refunds come out of your pocket, not theirs.

"New Seller Hump? Is that in fine print? I am on other sites and they have always paid out in a timely honest fashion."
Yes, both Etsy and Amazon may hold new sellers' funds for a period, though the reasons and durations vary. Etsy uses a reserve system where a percentage of each sale is held for a period, often triggered by a new shop or other risk factors. Amazon uses a reserve tier system, with new sellers typically in Tier I, where funds are held for a period.

Don't be surprised if they ask for receipts or invoices for all the new items you have listed and sold

Unsolicited advice givers? Unsolicited???? You came here looking for advice. You solicited it!

Although I've quoted @gloryglorygifts , this comment is directed toward @thereishope828 .
For the neutral you left for an item that shows an ETA of June 26, that's your mistake as the buyer. Had you read the listing and the Chinese seller's handling time, you would have seen that the seller doesn't ship quickly. For me today, it's showing "Delivery: Estimated between Tue, Jun 24 and Wed, Jul 16."
This is what the handling time shows:

@thereishope828 wrote:Ok let me clarify. I too have had another store from 2006. I never encountered this much scrunity, especially from unsolicited advice givers. The items I’m selling are reasonably priced and priced according to what eBay suggested not what they were valued at or appraised for. I don’t like to ever scam anyone. I’m simply truly disappointed in a company that used to be different. It’s sad and 60 days is a bit much I feel imo.
You're on an eBay community board. Why did you post if you didn't want feedback? You are complaining about standard policies that have been in place for many years.

I left a neutral? This is because I still have not received the item. Also when tracking the item the label has been printed but not dropped off to the postal center. The time for delivery now states June 9th………. Is neutral not ok? I also did so because I’ve sent two messages to attempt to reach out to the seller and have not received one reply. 😞

This is true about the community board however, there are other platforms that feel similar in their thoughts towards eBay. I also feel that eBay’s stock has progressively gone down as it has changed its focus. This is a fact, so while it’s super awesome that there are sellers whom are having a great experience, this is not the sentiment with everyone. I do acknowledge the “advice/feedback” is a given when on a community forum. Ty
