As a buy more then a bidder I believe that in the more description section of buying a product should NOT have a full page ad for more products by the seller & very little description about the product or products that we are looking at. Can we get some traction on this to make a change on the this platform. That's why there is a option to see other sellers items right? I know myself personally find it very frustrating. I hope I'm not alone on this, I'm sure I'm not.

@hellion_warrior810 If you're talking about how sellers themselves (ourselves) set up our descriptions, I also dislike seeing lousy descriptions ("condition is used, shipping is first class" does not cut it), and complicated rubbishy templates with all their other krap on it and large logos and one line of description. It's very uninformative. Unfortunately, eBay can't really mandate description styles too much save for some guidelines (mostly security protocol).

The description is by the seller. The lack of description is also by the seller. If you are seeing a listing that should have a description and the seller failed to give you one, that is solely on that seller and has nothing to do with ebay.
The 'other sponsored items' are an ebay thing and that will NEVER go away.

Yes, that option to see seller's other items is for just that.
The description field is meant to be for information about the advertised item. When you see a seller who does not provide that information, you would do well to hit the back button and buy from a seller who does. I also find it quite frustrating to come across sellers who have crammed unenforceable terms of service and their other items into a field with no info on the listed item.
The only way right now to change this is to vote with your wallet and patronize those sellers who practice better selling principles. Eventually the bad sellers will get weeded out. There is little eBay can do as a venue but encourage good selling practices. It has standards all sellers must meet, but there has been little discussion about the problem with many description fields. Thank you for bringing it up. That makes the extra effort good sellers make to present all the item facts to their customers all worthwhile!

I agree with you and the others that mention the importance of a description. It is especially true in the antiques and vintage areas since the "categories" have mostly been removed so "browsing" is not very effective. In the past, I have purchased some of those "mini description" items found while browsing. Advertised as "nice spoon" with nothing else. Sure I hit the $15 bin since it was a Tiffany sterling serving spoon from before the turn of the last century without a single key word other than spoon. It was in the proper category though. Most often, unless I know exactly what the item is and the condition is apparent, I will pass.
Something to consider as well is that if you are using a mobile app, depending on your device, the description area may not be readily displayed. One has to look around for the place to click to make it appear. If you actually find the one line text by the seller you are in the right place, however.
That being said, the rows and rows of "like items" being displayed BEFORE one gets to the description area are annoying. I use a computer, and I would hate to see what it looks like on a phone. But I guess nobody would look at them if they were put AFTER the seller's information. I expect they will have to add a few more lines or rows to the display as eBay convinces more people to promote (they have to put that stuff somewhere).
