What is really going on with the reduced number in sales this 2019? 2017 and 2018 were much better, but after ebay began to charge more fees for promotion listings and other new features and after paypal separated from ebay everything seems to have been going downhill since then. it feels as if ebay is screwing over its sellers with major fees and expects to recover from this. How has 2019 treated you so far?

Horribly slow for past 5 weeks and this is the holidays sales time! It has NEVER been this bad. I switched to managed payments because eBay said it would open more payment options and I thought it would help but it has not! Then PayPal is trying to get me to start selling on Bonanza. At this point I’m almost ready to. Not sure WTH is going on but sick of it.

Do a quick web search for "ebay marketing pullback". In an article from ecommerce bytes, you will see that they are trying to have less sellers that pay more via promoted listings. That, combined with the sales tax collection & other things have caused the sales of many to tank. Eventually, it's going to boil down to the sellers that are willing to pay the most to sell their items.

does it matter what they did. it matters that they fix it RIGHT AWAY...can they do that without Carl Icahn distracting them even more? someone needs to DO SOMETHING. otherwise there will be a bleed out! no one is going to give them half of what they make and still exist. if they are pushing for that they need to look at other business models whose growth factor far exceeds what happened here the past two years. yes take it private if thats what it takes to turn it around!
they are a mess. took three days and a lot of stress to just get one simple answer to a billing question. they are a mess. the former ceo saw the handwriting on the wall..i could tell that in a few interviews where he was trying to make things sugar coated wonderful...THEY NEED TO CALL MR WONDERFUL! maybe he can fix it..but does he want to? getting head of etsy isnt going to help things. get a better recruiting company to find a replacement..at least one better than the ad agency they have with those horrid commercials.. no one knows this place is still in business lately!

My sales have dropped 75% since may, but I think it all has a lot to do with Ebay staring to collect sales tax automaticlly for many states and this turns buyers off.

I just recently started back selling, the first month was CRAZY, lookers, buyers and contacts. Second month, same type items and a variety of different items. Sales and lookers plunged! Some items after two weeks have zero views ? Lost two sales because of a mix up with Ebay, only explanation was that Ebay was having " some issues" with their system ? Ive searched for some of my own items, many I have yet to find after scrolling and scrolling and scrolling. One item I even put in filter the exact price min. And max. And still had trouble finding. Ebay has some issues, that's for sure ! A whole lot of time spent for little reward !

He mend recent contract separation of 2019 which was not allowing PayPal to serve other marketplaces. Separation 2015 did not effect sellers and buyers but PayPal now is free to provide its services to other marketplaces.
