I have a friend with a new account. (Yes, really). I showed him how to get set up and running. After a week, he got a notification that he had to call eBay and verify his account information. He did that. He then did the account bank deposit verification as he signed up after PayPal was ditched. He bought about 20 or 30 items and sold several as well. All his sales reviews are positive (the few there are). One of the accounts he bought from was banned. He has had enough and does not care to get back on the platform due to all the difficulties.
HOWEVER....
Two items he purchased have not arrived and he can not get to the contact info on eBay. If he tries to use the automated system about items not arriving it says "you are not covered by money back guarantee" and will not let him open a case. He can also not contact the seller because eBay will not let him. If he attempts to use chat, it says it is "unavailable", however, I have no issues using chat. He tried over a period of several days as did I. It appears eBay does NOT WANT to communicate with him at all. He does not care, except the 2 missing items that total about 120$ and that he paid for.
BUT WAIT, there is MORE!
He also has not been paid for items he sold. The items were delivered. I know there is normally a 3 week lead time, but it has been past that.
So eBay has really screwed him out of several hundred dollars here.... items not received and items sold that he has not been paid for.
Is there any recourse here? There must be a class action lawsuit somewhere out there. This seems to be a VERY common occurance with eBay.

If he paid using a credit card he can file a complaint with his card issuer.

What are the delivery dates for the items he hasn't received? Are the sellers unregistered and the items removed? Item #s would be nice.
Why is his account suspended? You said another account suspended for no reason --if they suspend an account you can't make another account or it will be suspended, too. If you were helping your friend to make an account from your computer or device then you'll get suspended too because your accounts can be linked.

@draexo I think @fab_finds4u and @tex-421 have good points and questions ... the details of your friends account are a little thin ... like what were they selling? What were they buying? Did you and your friend share a computer at any time during the process? Did your friend do all of their eBay work on a mobile device or access their account using your WiFi?
What was the exact message your friend got about their suspension?
As to the comment, " ... This seems to be a VERY common occurrence with eBay." I would beg to differ since there is no source that provides this kind of data and there are over 19 million registered Selling accounts.
While I am sorry this happened more detail would help determine "why" it happened ...

He has been paid by his customers though?
EBay will put the 21-day Hold on any new seller's payments, but as you indicated, usually that is lifted and the money transferred then, unless the customer has filed a Dispute.
It is also possible that the item has not yet been delivered. Sellers are responsible for Delivery, not just shipping. Does tracking confirm Delivery?
I'd suggest using social media.
There are good reports of the FaceBook workers.

@femmefan1946 @mr_lincoln I wonder how often new sellers naively think it’s Ok to use a roommate’s eBay account to bid on their own listings? — “Just gonna raise the price a little, no one will know”.

It actually showed up. 4 weeks late.

There was no reason given for the account suspension.
The other account that was suspended was someone he purchased from. They were digital pictures of railroads. My friend is a railroad buff. That sellers account has since been suspended. My friend asked the seller if he had the pictures available in higher resolution. The seller said yes and then sent them to my friend. My friend did not ask for the pictures for free - he merely inquired if the seller had them. The seller then sent them free of charge.

Wow... Just wow. Not helpful at all zip-a-deedoodah. Do you work for eBay? The items were NOT auctions. They were BUY NOWS. Everything my friend has sold has been delivered.

It seems clear to me that there will be little help from the eBay community on this. I guess I should know better than to expect answers on a forum run by eBay about eBay. The proverbial fox guarding the henhouse. eBay will not clarify the reason and will not even talk to my friend. I suspect the suspension had something to do with his purchase from another seller who's account was removed. One of the english-as-a-third-language people - which is all eBay seems to hire or should I say outsource from another country - probably saw the messages between them and assumed there was something nefarious going on. My friend had simply inquired about a higher resolution to the photo they purchased. Someday there will be a class action lawsuit against eBay and all the eBay corporate **bleep** will come out. Until then.

eBay needs to block my IP address and ban my account. I want it to happen now.

Close your account yourself.
Also this thread is from March 2022 the person you are replying to will probably not see or respond to your distasteful comment because that person hasn't been in this forum since creating this thread.
