ALL ADULT ITEMS ARE GOING AWAY!!

That's right folks! Under managed payments there will be NO MORE adult items sold on Ebay! (Except Penthouse and Playboy) So stop drawing nudes, stop buying erotic comics and divest of your adult videos because you need a different website to sell them on! check the managed payments regs. before you yell at me! I already asked and they confirmed it.

These are categories NOT YET supported by MP, so Ebay is NOT putting these sellers into MP yet that primarily sell in these categories.

What is the policy?

Sellers enrolled in managed payments are not allowed to list the following items:

  • Adult only items, including movies and video games
  • Auction services
  • Bullion
  • Coins & paper money
  • Gift cards & coupons
  • Lodging, timeshares, vacation packages, and car rentals
  • Memberships for campground and RV parks
  • Motor vehicles
  • Smoking cessation products including nicotine patches and gum
  • Tickets for travel, events, or experiences
  • Wine

Listings that don't follow these rules may be removed from the site or from search results. Other actions we may take include lowering a seller's rating, charging additional fees, limiting buying and selling privileges, or suspending an account.

Ebay is working towards getting some of these issues resolved, they have said they hope to have All sellers in MP by 2021.

Credit card -> PayPal (US) -> eBay/seller

Credit card  -> Aydor (non-US) -> eBay/seller

Yet, somehow, eBay touts we are stupid no longer involving a third-party for payments on eBay. And why share commissions with another third-party ... again?

This is exactly like moving manufacturing and customer service overseas.

Good thing there is no shortage of adult items on the internet. As for bullion, I long ago switched from gold and silver to chicken and beef.

Hi! This is all a little above my pay grade, but have read some about it. The issue is with Ayden’s external payments processors. These processors have their own restrictions of what items can be sold, which then gets passed to eBay’s members. It involves international trading laws. (I am trying to find the information i read about this several months ago, but can’t lay my hands on it. Will keep trying.) So I do believe this is a temporary restriction on bullion, currency and coins and that eBay is working to make the those categories “compatible” with the new payment system.

Sorry I can't offer any insight as to why these categories are not currently supported in MP.  But it is not just an  Ebay problem.  It is a Money Processor problem.  PP just announced new rules and some of these categories were included.  So it is likely it has something to do with Federal Anti Money Laundering laws.  But I do not know for sure.

I think you have some fundamental misunderstandings on how this works.

Ebay has ALWAYS said that Adyen is the behind the scenes money processor.  Ebay hasn't hidden that in any way or kept it secret.

What Ebay means about no third Party is that the money processing is now handled by Ebay on Ebay.  If we have any issues with an MP transaction, we take that up with Ebay, no one else.  All issues and management of MP is done on and through Ebay.

Yes, that's why. But for any other eBay, Aydur would have been rejected before selecting it as the lowest bidder, then promising at that board meeting that "we'll hammer out" these wrinkles before our new Payment Manager system goes live.

Not that the item that I attempted to purchase for my father (lap0top table), the seller that I purchased it from is in Egypt.  It had something to do with new government regulations.  I tried to pay twice (not paying attention) until I read the email from PP so that may have something to do with it.

this one has exception, anything rated M or above is suppose to not be allowed, but ebay told me anything rated say as Teen is OK... if that's actually true idk, but I flushed all my video games out prior to MP due to it. I believe accessories are still fine also, like steelbooks, without the game i guess is OK

The great truth is there isn't one

That is weird considering Amazon considers dildos essential items.  I would have figured eBay would copy that.
