A question about edit listings 1-500 , editing by batch

I put the following on my listings while I was awqy on vacation: "I will be away from my inventory from June 22nd until July 4th. Any orders during that time will be shipped either July 5th or July 6th. Thank you for your patience."

I'm back from vacation and I want to clear this from my listings.

I go into "Edit Listings"

I select all 500

I go into "Edit Fields"

I go into "Item Description"

I choose "Edit listings in bulk - find and replace"

I enter "I will be away from my inventory from June 22nd until July 4th. Any orders during that time will be shipped either July 5th or July 6th. Thank you for your patience."  in find. (it's a copy and paste from a listing so it can't be incorrect"

I leave "Replace with" blank

I submit the changes AND IT NEVER CLEARS WHAT I WANT CLEARED.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

I'm not sure how to help you. I've used the bulk find and replace a few times, but I have run into issues, where it doesn't update them all and when I try to remove, it only removes some. Good luck in finding the answer. I'll be watching to find out how to do it too.

Where did you enter your message from? Why did you not use the vacation setting to enter your message, very easy, when you are back from vacation, click that option and the message is removed from all your listings. Not sure how you made it so difficult!

Try only doing 100 at a time, it might work with a smaller number of listings.

The BEAR (Bulk Edit and Replace) chokes on large numbers of listings.

I do a max 50 at a time.

Haven't done it in a long time.....used to be you had to put something in the "replace" box and people pasted a "white" period...........  don't know if that is necessary or not now....  might try on a couple.
