A post-transaction case exists on this order, seller refund can’t be triggered.

I have been trying to refund a buyer for the last couple of days and the refund is failing, and i am getting above message. I have sent an email to ebay about this but not sure what the resolution is, I found another thread and tried all the suggestions given there but to no avail, buyer doesnt seem to think that they have created any other chargebacks, can somebody help with this situation on how to resolve this? Thanks

Go to this page:

https://www.ebay.com/sh/resolutions

If there is a case open it should show up there. If the refund is related to the case you must do the refund through the case/resolution center.

What is the reason you want to give a refund? Is it a full refund or partial? Has the item been shipped?

HYmm maybe payment method may be in question.. Have not heard of this one or had such...

You are in the UK and this is the US boards. Might be best to ask this on the UK one.
