I just tried to buy 4 of an item, I received an error message saying that if I want to buy 4 or more of anything, that I have to upgrade to a business account. Why would they do that? Not a very good idea in my opinion. Not very good for business. Good thing ebay has not implemented that rule for sellers.

That's only on certain items. Not everything is limited. I purchase a lot in bulk quantity for years and have only had that happen once in over 500 purchases.

The Amazon Business to Business Program is not now nor has never been a success.
Amazon continues its efforts to make it big enough for the people who run it to collect incentives based on its success.
This is a minor example of how they are trying.
The worst example is that all sellers, not just those in the program, are forced to accept N30 payments from Amazon Business Members.
Every Amazon Business buyer I have ever had was barely a business. Most major corporations pay by credit card, and do not make quantity purchases from Amazon sellers. They can usually find a more effective way to get a quantity discount.

Not a Amazon fan, I am willing to pay more and wait longer.

I am quite the opposite although I have no loyalty to Amazon or any other e-commerce site or B&M store for that matter. I shop based on whether I need it good, quick or low cost.

I've become disgusted with Amazon's packaging lately.
We received something last week that smelled like death. A leaking box of pet food, which they sealed into a poly bag and shipped out anyway.

I placed an order for 8 items all at once and I was automatically upgraded to a free Prime trial account (which I immediately cancelled). But nothing was said about me having to change my account type.

I order certain running-related items in bulk (I run distance and boy do I go through shoes and inserts) and so far, so good. I didn't even get a Prime trial out of it (which I also would cancel immediately).
Curious as to what triggers that requirememt to shift to a business account? What did you buy, @inhawaii or is that a secret? 😬

I love Amazon!
They have one of the better search for an item. Once I find it, then i go to Temu at 70% off the price.
For some reason I trust ebay on branded items more than Amazon.. ;x Got more counterfeits there these days, more like Temu, Shien, Aliexpress items sold on Amazon. I mean they do sell it on ebay too but many sellers outprice themselves here 😄
