A buyer wants me to text him so he can ask me a question. I learned last week that I'm not to do it. So do I respond to him through Ebay or should I just decline the offer.

Only use the eBay message system. They want you to text them to set you up for a scam.

I've bought and sold here for over a decade and only found these boards last year. I've learned more here since Fall than I did (piecemeal) in all that time. I'm humbled as well. So, ditto!!
