We sold an item on Sep 6. but saw no notification 'til the 13th, when the buyer emailed to inquire. When I responded my message was blocked with a note the buyer's account was suspended, looks like the first day it was opened and they placed their order for our item. I have the item and want to ship it and it appears eBay does have their payment. Can/should I go ahead?

I would wait till the payment clears if it does at all. Make sure that the payment is in your bank account that is attached to Ebay managed payments, not Paypal or any other way. Like others have posted, this person was suspended for a reason. If it doesn't appear cancel the sale citing non payment and re list it. Be careful and Good luck.

There's something funny going on if an item sold but it didn't appear sold for over a week. Odds are there is a reason the buyer's account was suspended... are you positive that you have actually been paid?

All transactions between a seller and and a buyer have one common denominator, both must be registered users.
Your buyer is no longer one therefore this contract is void.
If indeed this buyer paid, you must return these funds without getting dinged for this sale. I would contact ebay over this matter.

I have been down this roads many times
if I have been paid I ship.
I do not care if they are NARU the day after the purchase
I want the sale and I woud never refund

Oh my...we have a lack of consensus it appears. The notification issue may have been entirely mine and I've promised to refund a bit if I am allowed to ship. While I agree with those advocating caution it WOULD be nice to sell this. I'll contact eBay as advised, only, does anyone know how? I've tried and ended up in Help, only which didn't't have exactly this problem. Thanks so much everyone. Trying to click "Helpful" for everyone but it's not letting me.

Ah, see that it's the thumb and not the word I needed to click...just to complete my embarrassment. : )
Forgot to say the buyer's messages DO show up in My eBay, which I read in Help is important.

I found eBay on a chat...quick and easy. They looked into the details and said "do ship because the buyer contacted you." Can't tell you how much you all helped. I was able to get it packed and ready to go and felt very reassured thanks to your kind replies.

Well that is reassuring, the thing I was questioning was that buyer got kicked off of ebay for a reason. I hope this works out for you.

As suggested above, MAKE SURE that the buyer actually paid you by going to your Payments in Seller Hub. Why did you let a week go by before you noticed you had a sale? Am I missing something?

Also, the statement from Customer Service makes no sense. As usual. What's the so-called buyer contacting you have anything to do with shipping? I could have contacted you just as easily. Make sure payment is in your account.

You're not missing anything. Because I have no notifications until she emailed me yesterday and because my first response to her was blocked (due to suspension) it appears I wasn't notified BECAUSE of the suspension.

Right, I know it's a risk, only I have a transcript of the chat with Ebay and screenshots of the payment so I feel like I'm covered. The item is also non-refundable.

Wait wait...
The buyer emailed you after they were suspended? They obviously can't contact you via eBay, your not basing this payment on an email that says you got paid are you? Because if you are, you probably were not paid.
