I HAVEN'T been able to list my 45 records for about 2 weeks now. I put in a couple of tickets but still nothing. I have tried N/A and "does not apply". I have my records in drafts but I have also tried to list individually. Any help would be much appreciated.

"Do you list your 45's from a template in drafts."
No - we have been using a then called 'copy' and now called sell similar of the original listing the boss wrote in 2001 since ... our second listing in 2001.
And, because you sell records, those listings were both Moondog records.
Again, I would try to make one from a sell sim... and see what happens - you just want the 'thing' to save, if it takes starting from scratch, at least it gets done.

It is hard to say what the problem is but you do not need item specifics. Does not apply should work. Maybe cancel the draft and try again ? It is also possible you can use sell similar with someone else's listing but just make sure all "your" info is how you want it.

Ebay does not know what they're talking about. I've never seen a UPC code on a 45. It has other things like the date, place of manufacture etc. but I've never seen a UPC code on a 45. 45s went extinct in the 1990s and were replaced by tape cassettes and CDs. It's possible that some collectors re issues or fakes may have a UPC that were made after 2000.

When I put in "does not apply" it opens a window of "does not match" and then gives me the item specifics error. I even tried listing items one at a time and still the same. It started about 2 weeks ago. It has been frustrating.

Never had to put it in before. It started 2 weeks ago and ebay just keeps putting in tickets but with no resolution.

FYI CDs came out near the mid 1980s (1984-86 time period). Cassettes around the early 1970s, they replaced the 8 track players of the 1960s

I have several 45's listed with no issues and no UPC required. What is the error message you are receiving? Are you certain you are being asked for a UPC? Perhaps it is something else entirely that is holding up your listing. Also, previously an eBay rep on here posted that if an item specific is not relevant to your item you should leave it blank rather than writing not applicable. Maybe that is the issue?

Have not had this issue at all.
Are you listing from a computer or phone?
I listed several Sunday from my laptop, no issues??

I just put N/A and when the box pops ups saying no match found, I just close it and continue the listing.

I have tried that and still get item specifics error.

I am listing on computer. One of ebay's solution was to switch to chrome. Do you list from saved drafts?

I have been using drafts to list my item I started with a blank Upc. the error is "missing item specifics" I am not sure it is UPC, that is what ebay has been telling me.

This is what happens when the folks doing the programming are not familiar with what they trying to apply information to.

Their was a recent story in Canada of a shopper going in to pay for a purchase using an older Canadian 5.00 bill without security features. Clerk refused the bill. (According to the Bank of Canada completely legal tender.) Sadly maybe down the road we are heading. 🙄
Example 2.

With the old listing tool ISBN's for books and UPC's for CD's used to work(populate) majority of the time. Can always be glitches with Canadian versions. With the new tool it has become extremely hit or miss. Most are not found so guessing similar items listed with the matching codes were created before this tool arrived on our doorstep.
