eBay & their Chinese government partner - two peas in a pod:

Stealing intellectual property.

Bankrupting USPS by abusing the 1969 UPU agreement intended to help poor developing countries.

Destroying American jobs.

Looking the other way as Chinese companies destroy the environment.

Using Chinese slave labor.

Farming work out to call centers in foreign countries.

chapeau.

They like you just fine. The invitation is in Announcements, where we can all read it. It's free to attend the virtual event. I'm guessing most stuff will be available for replay after the event, but don't know for sure.  here's the link:

That might be a little over the top, but I do wonder why they need to link our account to join the event?

I may register.  Why not?

They don't need to. You have a choice...do it manually, or just link to your account. They already have your account information, it's not like you are giving them something new. Linking is quicker.  But you can just fill it out manually if you prefer.

The jaded seller inside of me thinks that the limited edition swag is going to consist of a t-shirt and a roll of limited edition 25th Anniversary eBay packaging tape.

But what the optimistic seller inside of me really wants is a 1 ounce limited edition 25th Anniversary eBay Gold Coin.

You know what I find funny.  I was actually excited thinking I might get a t-shirt or roll of tape, but figured I just had stars in my eyes.  To further show how pathetic I am, I'm really looking forward to receiving a package in the mail --- I think I'm really five years old.

I guess the extra disclaimer and user agreement sketches me out.  Too lazy to read it.
